Dara O Briain and Angela Scanlon present the first of two festive specials in which four celebrity teams design their dream robot with the help of an experienced engineer, then battle it out in the arena - where all the same rules apply for the celebrities as they face off against each other and the imposing house robots. Who will become the Celebrity Robot Wars champions?

Olympic athletes the Brownlee brothers, DJ Scott Mills, space scientist Dr Maggie Aderin-Pocock and sports presenter Suzi Perry help design their own fighting robots to battle it out in the bulletproof Robot Wars arena. Faced with the House Robots and some mystery pit hazards, they need to prove they have got what it takes to become the Robot Wars champion.
