Terwijl Jack, Rebecca en de drie kinderen hun weg banen naar het huis van Rebecca's ouders voor hun traditionele Thanksgiving-vakantie, ontstaat er een onvoorziene omweg. Kate neemt twee ingrijpende beslissingen die haar leven veranderen. Kevin brengt Olivia naar Randall's huis voor Thanksgiving. Randalls hart is gebroken als hij hoort over een levenslang geheim dat zijn moeder voor hem heeft verborgen.

Terwijl Kevin stresst over de première van zijn stuk, krijgt hij steun uit onverwachte hoek. Randall worstelt onder de druk van zowel zijn werk als zijn zieke vader.
