หลังจากการตายของ ซาโตะ คาสุมะ ได้ประสบอุบัติเหตุเสียชีวิต หลังจากเสียชีวิตวิญญาณของซาโต้ คาซึมะ ก็ได้พบกับเทพธิดาชื่อ อควา โดยได้ให้ตนเลือกจะไปอยู่บนสวรรค์หรือไปเกิดใหม่ แต่เห็นท่าทางของ ซาโต้ คาซึมะ จึงได้เพิ่มตัวเลือกพิเศษพร้อมตัวช่วยอันน่าสนใจคือ ส่งไปโลกต่างมิติ เพื่อสร้างตำนานอันยิ่งใหญ่ในการปราบราชาปีศาจ และสามารถเลือกตัวช่วยได้ 1 อย่าง อาทิ อาวุธที่มีพลังสูง พลังเวทขั้นสูง ระหว่างที่โดนล้อเรื่องปมและสาเหตุการตาย ด้วยความโมโห ซาโต้ คาซึมะจึงเลือกเทพธิดาเป็นของฝากติดตัวไปโลกต่างมิติแทน หลังจากคำขอเป็นผล อควา ไม่สามารถกลับไปเป็นเทพธิดาได้จนกว่าราชาปีศาจจะพ่ายแพ้ ทั้งสองจึงจัดตั้งพรรคและรับสมัครสมาชิกอีกสองคน นักเวทที่หลงใหลในเวทระเบิดชื่อ เมกุมิน และผู้ทำสงครามโซคิสต์ชื่อ ดาร์กเนส โดยทุกคนต่างมีความผิดปกติ เช่น คาสุมะ-ฉลาดโชคดีแต่อาชีพกระจอกและขี้เกียจ อควา-มีพลังมากแต่ไร้ประโยชน์ เมกุมิน-มีเวทที่สุดยอดแต่ใช้ได้แค่หนึ่งครั้งต่อวัน ดาร์กเนส-มีอาชีพอัศวินแต่กลับเป็นพวกที่ยิ่งโดนทำร้ายหรือต่อว่าแล้วรู้สึกดี การผสานกันของ ปาร์ตี้ ที่มีปัญหาจึงทำให้เรื่องนี้เกิดขึ้น!
