Why do they keep making these movies where the heroine is terminally retarded and the villain is the most obvious person in the town? Not only but also - why do they insist on what I call "the twitching insect" ending - familiar to all who watch killer bee invasion movies. This one featured a "consult the killer" scenario and seemed to expect us to be sympathetic - by the way - his "I did it to save you from them" line was a bit problematic as he killed the male and attacked the female before she told him the "astonishing truth" And if you find out who the killer is - don't go to the police - take the murder weapon and go find him - that should work. Also why give hubby the line about "Because you are not a murderer"? Bit puzzling that. Add the above to the shoe horned in gay storyline - even the women in the cornfield - so painfully PC and you have a rather silly and implausible film that should never have seen the light of day. Avoid.

I'm in the middle of watching this. (Ep 5). It's not bad, but I find it hard to believe so many people in this small town have so many secrets. The one thing that bugs me the most is Ada. (the one who was hit in the head with the brick). You mean to tell me she's been in that condition for over 40yrs? Did I miss something? That almost seems impossible.

There are other minor things that annoy me, but I'll give it a chance to finish before I condemn the show.

Oddly enough, I was notified about your post as I had previously posted a decent rundown of S1 and the major differences from S2(which was a total reboot). My avatar is there but my comment is eh gone 🤔. Anyway(I may have said this before) the first season was ok, nothing extremely special, but as an avid horror fan it was kind of a nice treat for me . My 8 episode ratings averaged out to exactly 8.0/10, now season two was a different story(literally) and figuratively, Every episode in S2 I rated all 9/10's which is a significant improvement and a real treat to binge . I don't think I've ever rated a season of anything with all 9's and I've seen mostly everything, it's like it was made by horror fans for horror fans and it delivered it in bloody spades.

I guess what I'm trying to say is if you weren't that impressed by season one, definitely do not carry any bad expectations into season 2 because it's night and day imho. Even if you quit watching season one, definitely check out season 2. Season one was a made for TV deal by the folks at the Chiller Network, season 2 was done by Netflix and they completely knocked it out the park, it's gorey, creepy, paranoia abounds, has some excellent kills and it actually had some decent character development, it really keeps you guessing to the end and I highly recommend it to horror lovers. Now my comment better not disappear this time, hopefully!🤞🏼

Watching Season 1 right now and it's a struggle. Not sure how much longer I can go on with it. There's just something not right with it and it kind of bores me. It started out on a great note and then reverted into some type of boring soap opera storyline.

Judging by what the previous poster said...I may need to check out season 2.

Yea don't hesitate to check out season two it's an all new story with all new characters about a bunch of 20 somethings venturing back into the summer camp(in the dead of winter 45 miles on a snowmobile to get there) where they used to work to clean up some "unfinished business" but the thing is they end up staying with a cult like commune that has since formed there and it's a time where EVERYBODY'S past comes back to haunt them. The "cult" and the ex counselors situation goes south fast and paranoia abounds EVERYWHERE after the first kill and the snow machine gas had all been drained so they are totally stuck there in the mountains with no cell service and it gets rather interesting quickly. It's a much better written season compared to the first with better characters that are developed over the length of the season. I force fed myself season one because I couldn't stand the lead character's husband at all, plus I also had plenty of minor gripes about it as well. Check out S2 though seriously, it starts a little lame with episode one, but continually gets better.

Okay, so I stopped watching season 1. I was just too bored with it. I just binged watched season 2...and it is (was) SO much better than the first season. There were still some things that made me scratch my head...but most horror films make me do that anyway, so I can overlook them.

To anyone out there...drop season 1...and pick up season 2. It held my attention until the very end! Loved it!

I watched all 3 seasons. Season 1 was okay. I wouldn't say it was boring, but season 2 & 3 were much more interesting. Character development was great too. The only problem I had with this TV show were some few mistakes that made TV show unrealistic, for example person gets knife in his stomach, yet, he's able to not only walk, but run and fight. Come on, that's not realistic at all and it ruins whole experience. I understand horror directors want to make their videos as tense as possible, but when it's done at the expense of realism, it completely ruins everything.
