Discuss DC's Legends of Tomorrow

Can anyone explain this to me - the Legion of Doom is trying to gather the pieces for a spear that can change reality. The Legends are trying to prevent this. And their plan is to gather the pieces and assemble the spear? Wouldn't it be smarter to just make the pieces impossible to find? They went to the fricking moon to get one of the pieces, how about just tossing that piece into space? It would be lost, the spear would be impossible to complete and the good guys would have won. Plus they always talk about not messing with the time line but when ever they go to another time line they just kill people like it's nothing. Just killing one person in the past that wouldn't have normally died then would disrupt the time line a lot let alone killing a bunch of people. The domino effect would be immeasurable.

Not to mention in the latest episode when they decided to dig up a field in the middle of the war - they could have chosen any date in the preceding 1000 years and been perfectly safe from Hun and Legion alike...

Yeah, it does seem like they always pick the worst times to time travel to. But this show is so much fun, you just have to love it.

Don't forget that they also killed Tokugawa Iemitsu, the shogun of Japan. The military dictator of Japan. That should definitely have no effect on the timeline lol.

Dont forget that they could have thought of making Spear unusable in the first place, once they assembled it LOL.

Oh, damn, the Legion was here and got the piece of the Spear. Well, we haven't done much here to interfere, so... let's get that Spear piece like yesterday, yeah?

Rory: IDIOTS!

Agreed with most points, once the spear is assembled just use it to get rid of the LOD. Oh no wait we can't do that the spear is too powerful. Well Eobard used it and it seems he was doing just fine. Except he made himself like the ceo of some tech company, why not make yourself king of the Earth! You can re-write reality for Christ sake! And of course don't eliminate the Legends just make them your puppets, that's a great idea. ( smacking forehead) Why would he choose to live in 2017? Isn't he from the future? Why not go to your time or further into the future where they have more advanced technology? Then the whole creating some nuclear reactor to destroy the spear, as someone already mentioned you have a giant nuclear reactor just sitting in space called the sun. Why go through the trouble to make one on Earth!! Just chuck that stupid spear into the sun. Or just use the fricken spear to eliminate all your enemies including Snart, Damian, and the Legends. What's the hangup? Could they only use it once a year? Why is Snart robbing banks? Didn't he say he owns half the city? If they removed Snart form an earlier time then he never made it to the Legend's ship in episode 1.

And one last thing, if you can use the spear to re-write reality and take away all of the spears power then why not just do that once you have the spear assembled? And not saving your sister?? Hello??? Why the F not? You can change reality there are no time aberrations!!! Who would choose to let their sister stay dead? I'm pulling my hair out!!

Logic seems to elude the writers! The whole show is batshit crazy!

The new season makes a big point about how stupid people think the Legends are (so they're listening internet), and they pretty much admit that they are screw ups...but powerful screw ups.

Just like when the Arrow writing team acknowledged what Felicity was doing while in her wheelchair was a carbon copy of what Oracle does for Batman, and even mentioned the name. Sometimes when things are so blatantly ridiculous they have no choice but to make a nod to it, but I do give them credit for swallowing their pride at those moments.
