when doctor who cant explain how something time related does or dosnt happen this is his answer ,as rory was one of the doctors companions I'm always waiting for him to use the timy whimy wibbly wobbly explanation to the crew on legends.

Even if Damian never comes to National City, it doesn't mean Laurel will return because another event could have killed her. In addition, they could cause something similar to a Flash Point, and change an insurmountable amount of events.

I get what you are saying, between this show and The Flash's flashpoint they could have easily brought Laurel back. I don't know the details of behind the scenes, but it seems like the powers that be didn't want to bring Laurel back because they were quick to replace her with a new canary named Dinah Drake.

Perhaps I'm misremembering (please feel free to correct my memory!) but I thought one reason they killed the character off was because many viewers complained about her. Assuming that's correct, why would they bring her back?

I don't know, I recently binged Arrow seasons 1-4 and watch this season real time so while binging I stayed off the message boards. When I finally did go there (IMDb) people were talking about how bad they wanted Laurel back, but I also saw some people calling them out saying nobody really cared as much when she was alive. That's only one message board, so I don't know the true story.

if that was the case they would killed Felicity since she is by far the most hated character.
