Just read the news yesterday with a gaping mouth. Netflix clearly didn't anticipate the divorce with Marvel, as last seasons of Luke Cage, Iron Fist, and Daredevil ended in cliffhangers (already wrote new episodes for Iron Fist too). Luckily we'll have Jessica Jones, and Punisher to console ourselves.

Plus the cancellations were announced too soon together. Couldn't be ratings as DD is highly popular. The bombshell clearly came from Disney. Perhaps it's all for the better, as I'm a lil tired from superheroes. Could have easily skipped the last Thor, Ant-man & all DCs (benman, flaunterwoman & suicide frauds).

I suspect that Jessica Jones and punisher will follow - but announcement will have been delayed because they are too far into production of their new seasons.

But...

Disney know where the money is - I suspect they will elect either to move DD to the Disney streaming service or edge him into the MCU. The Russos have recently discussed that DD was seriously considered to appear int eh New York fight near the start of the movie but cited scheduling conflicts, character overload etc as reasons why he didn't

But perhaps Feige vetoed it because there were other long term pans for the character.

I would LOVE to see the DD & Kingpin fold into the Spiderman side of things - D'Nofrio certainly wants to. Here's hoping! (Hell throw Deadpool in there too. 3 Amigos of red spandex)

You're way more optimistic & imaginative than I am I doubt Disney would want to risk portraying DD anytime soon (thus reminding viewers how Netflix did it better). As they say, good things must all come to an end... at least DD ended on a high!

All things considered, cancelled doesn't mean dead. After all Netflix doesn't own it--so they really don't have the power to end it--just not stream it. DD fans are barely breaking a sweat over Netflix's antics. Now, if Disney had made such an announcement DD fans really would have reason to be in a froth.

As for not seeing the cancelllation coming--surprised the heck out of me; especially considering the outstandingness of S3. But, rumor has it that there are larger corporate forces at work here; so it’s not about the quality of the show, or the size of its viewing audience—but, about Disney and Netflix butting heads over other i$$ue$, and Marvel shows being no more than “chess pieces” in this corporate tug-of-war.

Anyway; looking forward to seeing DD elsewhere!

My biggest thing is I do not want Daredevil to be rebooted. The cast and crew is far too rich and well done. Charlie Cox, and Vincent D'Onofrio are just made for their roles. It seriously is a shame this show got the axe. Daredevil did for superhero TV shows what The Dark Knight did for superhero movies.

Don't worry, guys. As soon as Avengers: Endgame comes out and the Avengers sort out that nasty Thanos then all these tv shows will pop back into existence.

So true Charlie Cox really is the perfect Daredevil I could easily see him fitting in the MCU or back to his own show.

Honesty even though the idea of him being in the MCU is fun I prefer him in his own show. The issue with teaming up characters is the story becomes less personal. Don't get me wrong I love a lot of the team ups for the MCU it is just when you think a little smaller it can be a bit deeper. I honestly love Daredevil so much. The Ben Affleck movie jaded me against him for so long. I never was a Daredevil fan before the show but now it has made him one of my favorite superheroes.
