Discuss Gotham

Why is it that one episode, Bruce and Selina are in a very committed relationship, and in the next they have a violent break up. And they get back together a few episodes after that, and a few episodes later they break up again. And then the cycle continues on again. Its actually getting really old and repetitive. And why do Selina and Bruce keep on coming back to each-other, only to have a violent break up over and over again in the series?

Sounds like typical teenagers to me.

Not sure what you mean. They've only really been in a relationship once and then it went south and they haven't even been friends all season.

Maybe not dating per say. I probably overstated it. However what I meant was all through season 1-3, they keep on coming back and driving each-other away over and over again. In this season however, they don't seem to be doing it as much.

Another repetitive plot that I am getting tired of seeing, is Oswald being thrown in and out of power like a ping pong. Every season ever since the 1st one starts off as Oswald being the King of the Gotham underworld. Then some unexpected enemy like Theo Galvan, Edward Nygma and "friends", and finally Sofia Falcone topple him. Then Penguin, through new allies and shear force of will, fights his way back to being the King of Gotham again. Its starting to get predictable and obnoxious.

Well they nearly kissed the last ep! If they had not been interrupted who knows where it would have lead! Selina did say Bruce ought to take "one night off"!
