Discuss Orphan Black

No offense intended, but I'm at a breaking point with this show. It was interesting in the beginning but now it's starting to drag on and on and I'm getting tired of it. It's also summer and I'm finding it too hard to keep up with new episodes. Plus the interest is just not there anymore.

Frankly I only started watching because of the lesbian content which seems to have fallen by the way side. Perhaps I will come back if Cosima and Delphine get back together. Or some other combination of girl on girl.

By the way Tatiana or whatever does a great job playing multiple characters. How hard must that be. But it's not natural and doesn't work well when she has to do scenes with herself. By the way Cosima has a Canadian accent. Did she forget that she's from California?

Too long; didn't read. But I've decided to finish watching this series since it's the last season, and there are only a few episodes left until the end. Now I just have to get caught up on what I missed.

One thing I would have done differently. I would have hired identical twins/triplets/etc instead of one person to play all the roles. I hate when they have two different characters in the same scene played by the same actor. It doesn't feel authentic and TV is bad enough as it is.

I just watched Season 5, Episode 5. I was glad to see Delphine and Cosima had a reunion.

Maybe this show is better suited for you.

Showtime said they are bringing The L Word back with a new cast. Probably not for another year or so but it's coming soon. I am definitely looking forward to that. I just hope they don't shove a whole lot of political correctness down our throats. I only say that because political correctness has reached a new level of insanity since The L Word went off the air.

What preview? They wouldn't show a preview for next week. They even said as much at the end of the episode!

Anyway, this is going to be short, and naturally, full of spoilers, so if anyone hasn't watched the episodes, don't read on. You've been warned.

My blood curdled at your comment about Gracie and Mark being the people Mrs. S. has been in contact with. I had not thought about that possibility at all, mainly because I'd forgotten all about them until he was revealed in Coady's lab, and she showed up at the convent. That's just a scary thought, but you may be right, especially considering two or so weeks ago when Sarah flat out asked Mrs. S. how much her contact(s) could be trusted. I say, not at all! But for their sakes, I hope I'm wrong.

Yeah, you brought up a LOT of good points again concerning Rachael, and the writers did a really good job re: the eye. Brilliant, conception and writing. I kept looking away from the screen as she pulled out her eye. I just couldn't watch it. I'm not much for bloodshed/torture/self-mutilation. I would like to see her redeemed and eventually reunited with the sisters. Remember Helena's dream/fantasy while she was locked up in the box? The one with all the sisters sitting out in the sun in bright, colorful clothes, and everyone happy, and healthy, and on their own, and just enjoying the day? Now I'm kind of hoping for that. I just wish M.K. could have lived to join them. I was devastated when Ferdinand killed her. And for a couple of minutes there, I kept wondering if it was an accident and that he thought in his mind that he was killing Rachael in some sort of weird revenge plot for everything she's done to him, but no, he's just a sadistic bastard.

I don't think Delphine knows about the eye. I don't see Westmorland trusting her like that. I don't see him trusting anybody. Oh, and I hope that Rachael sent that memo/info on him to the rest of the board AND to the media. She sent it to someone, but I hope it's them because it's clear from how that one guy acted that he wants nothing to do with Westmorland.

So that's it from me for now.

this was the first episode i liked in a long time. i'm actually looking forward to next week's episode.

i'm hoping for a happy ending for the sisters and felix.

@Satai Delenn - just a quick reply regarding this:

BBC America didn't, but on Space in Canada you could watch this one:

Couldn't agree more. Even some of the different "minority groups" are fed up with media trying to fight battles for them that are totally unnecessary, it only widens the gaps and stirs up more hassle. When a major generation shift will occur things will settle I hope. Would love to see "The L Word" back!

SPOILERS OF THE END OF THE SHOW

@janar: Well, I was wrong. Rachael survived. I'm actually glad about that. And I got my Helena ending! yay!

Thank you, I couldn't remember Gracie's name, just that I disliked her.

I'm sad about S., but I have to say that I really liked her portrait. It was so fitting. This peaceful portrait with the blue sky and her looking into the far yonder, and then a giant rifle at her side. I started cracking up! lol

Helena's a mom. And she's going to be a damn good one! A little over protective as the boys get older, but I'm sure Sarah and Alison can help keep her from killing any potential bullies, lol.
