I'm bumping this for our TV mods. If correct, should all the info - including cast - be fixed?

Based on the bible I think yes. And it looks like someone has already added Japanese cast.

I'm dubious about which version is the real original, even if it was first broadcasted in Japan.

On this IMDB page, it is indicated "The names of Athos and Porthos were switched around, compared with Alexandre Dumas's novels, so that Porthos was the intelligent leader whilst Athos was the big greedy sidekick. The Japanese dub switches them back around into their original roles." If this is true, that may indicate that it was first created in another language, maybe Spanish, and then dubbed in Japanese.

On IMDB, they also indicate : "Pays d’origine : Espagne" and "Sociétés de production : BRB Internacional - S.A.Nippon Animation Co." (starting with the Spanish company). It also include the Spanish title "D'Artacan y los tres mosqueperros" as the original title.

So, more information are needed to determine what is the real original language, this is not necessary the language of the country where it has been broadcasted first.

I know Wikipedia is not a reliable source, I will try to find another one.

According to this interview from the founder of BRB Internacional, only the animation company was based in Japan, but the script was written by him.

After that, the chapter 5.2 is dedicated to this series.

Reading these data, the Japanese team were working on this series under the supervision of the Spanish team.

Interesting. Japanese version didn't put any BRB's staff in the credit list. Even the scripts are all Japanese. Thanks for finding these information!
