Sneddon informs Fiona that he is now the sitting tenant of Inverdarroch farm. Emma and Alastair become romantically involved with each other. Greg shows Fiona around the golf course development and after mishap they end up spending the night together. Emma tells her father about Alastair and he warns her to be careful. Isabel phones Brian and finds out that Brian's girlfriend Jenny is pregnant and that he wants a divorce.

Kenny pays an early morning visit to Lynne and is appraised of what's been happening with her and Carol. Ryder visits Morag Stewart and makes an offer for her farm which she refuses. Mrs Mack inherits some money from her brother-in-law. Fiona and Ryder both receive letters from Sneddon. Morag tells Dougal and Grace that she has no choice but to sell her farm. Isabel cancels her birthday party after receiving a phone call from Susan, telling her that she won't be able to make it Isabel's 50th birthday party. Mairi and Carol decide to organise a surprise birthday for Isabel instead. Carol finds out her insurance won't cover her personal possessions.

Lynne asks Emma to move in with her and Carol. Emma accepts the offer. Fiona finds out from Sheila that Ryder has brought Inverdarroch farm. When she confronts Ryder about this, he tells Fiona that he brought the farm as a wedding present.
