Discuss The Blacklist

I think the writers overplay this bit with Liz. I mean her periodic accusations that Red doesn't really care about her, that he only cares about ___________________ (fill in the blank). Recently she claimed that Red was only helping her because he wanted to get his "item" back from Tom's killers, not because he cared about her or about catching Tom's killers.

No matter how many times or how many ways Red proves he loves and cares about Liz, she always reverts back to this same old song. It is way over done. It's so over done that it is hard to find Liz credible. She reflexively reverts to that position, and completely ignores the many times and many ways Red puts his own life in jeopardy to save hers. She is like the pseudo scientist who has a pet theory, and only considers the evidence which supports it, and tosses out the rest. She reminds me sometimes of a certain kind of person; someone who can always find a way to view herself as a victim, no matter the circumstance, and can always blame her 'favorite victimizer' and impugn his motives, no matter how badly she has to mangle the facts to see things that way. She is kind of a bitch at times.

I get pretty tired of listening to her, and I'm not the one she is accusing.
