Discuss WWE Raw

We're over 4 months into his reign now and I think the question has to be asked. I cannot think of a single redeeming quality for his championship reign. Repetitive promos, unmemorable matches (I know 3 of them were with Orton but it did appear to me that Randy was actually working hard in those matches), declines in attendance and no real impact on ratings. And the overall goal of making him champion was supposedly to create a presence in India, but if reports from the Wrestling Observer are to be believed, subscribers in India are actually down since he won the championship. I honestly think he's the worst WWE champion in history, and I never thought anyone would be worse than Vince McMahon himself.

It's hard for me to say the worst, but he's been an absolutely atrocious one. You know it's bad when one of the first thing a lot of defenders go to is how nice a guy he really is and what a good body he has.

People will make comparisons to JBL, but JBL at least had charisma, and while his match endings were almost always screw job finishes, at least there was variation in the screw jobs. With Mahal, every time it's the same god damn thing. It makes his opponents look stupid cause they keep falling for the same trap. People will even make comparisons to the Honky Tonk Man, but he was a great heel who got legit heat and who was more entertaining in the ring than Jinder(not to mention that catchy as hell theme) Jinder has X-Pac heat.

and what's worse is what's being sacrificed to keep this farce of a title reign going. I don't care if it's not a clean finish, losing to Mahal twice is doing Nakamura no favors. If he takes another pinfall loss to Mahal, his star power is going to seriously decline. The least they could do is a DQ finish. It's not like they're going to close the show.

Which is another thing. Even on the Smackdown only PPVs, they look for any excuse not to have him close the show. You can bet money on Owens vs Shane closing. He closed Battleground, and that's it. He almost never even closes Smackdown. Styles and Wyatt closed Smackdown often, if not all the time as champions. The WWE title is actually becoming a midcard belt. and if the rumors are true about him holding the title till mania (the rumor isn't even from a half reliable source yet so there may be nothing to it), christ, I may have to walk away from Smackdown. Usos vs New Day in the cell is really the only thing making me watch the PPV Sunday, cause I'm sure that match is going to be fucking awesome.

I'm done with Smackdown. I am so sick of this horrible championship run, and to make it as terrible as possible, they had Nakamura lose clean to this guy. I am so god damn done. I'm not one to threaten to leave, almost ever, but with Smackdown I am. This ending pissed me off so much, it ruined what was otherwise a damn good show. I've got Raw(which does have problems, but nothing this bad). I've got NXT. I've got New Japan. I'm good without this shit.
