概要
1928年にエジプトで発見されたリング状の建造物は遥か太古にエイリアンによって作られた異星間移動装置スターゲイトだった。このゲイトの作動に成功したアメリカ空軍は同時に宇宙の侵略者ゴアウルドの存在を知りこれに対抗するために精鋭チームSG-1を結成し、大宇宙の神秘を探査しながら、ゴアウルドの魔手を打ち砕くべく壮大な戦いを始める。

The season is continued with direct-to-DVD film Stargate: The Ark of Truth.
