When offered $5000 for a televised Hi-Tops reunion, Steve is persuaded to reunite with his estranged bandmates T-Bone and Clyde. But, when Cedric takes ill, they are forced to look for a replacement to do the show. Though Steve is sure finding another Hi-Top will be easy, live auditions prove otherwise. After listening to his taped audition, Steve and the band decide Derrick Love is right for the job.
Meanwhile, as part of their sociology class parenting exercise, Romeo and Rosalind are partnered, as are Bullethead and Coretta. Coretta and Bullethead seem to be handling six baby dolls well, but the same can't be said when Rosalind loses theirs.

A new camera appears to be just the magnet Romeo and Bullethead need to attract the school's most beautiful girls. Taking advantage of the situation, they plan to take pictures of the hottest girls under the guise of using them in the school newspaper.
After they are invited to join the exclusive Onyx Club, Steve and Cedric are certain their stars are on the rise. Warned by Regina not to take their final interviews lightly, Steve and Cedric take care to impress the membership committee. And to celebrate their admission, they invite Regina and Lovita to the club's annual Charity Casino Night.
As Romeo and Bullethead plan their photo shoots, they ask Steve - under the pretense of using it as a study hall - for access to his classroom. After a quick lesson on responsibility, Steve agrees.

At the local bar, Steve and Cedric sympathize with the marital woes of their longtime friend and television producer, Byron Clarke. Despite Steve's disagreement, Cedric insists Byron stay with them until he finds someplace to stay. Regina and Lovita make an unannounced, unwanted appearance. And when they sign up for the bar's upcoming amateur pool tournament, Cedric assures Steve the women will never win. Meanwhile, Romeo and Bullethead win concert tickets after making up a sad story about a boy who's forced to live inside a germ-free bubble.
When Byron not only seems to be permanently settling in, but also dating women from his new landlord's little black book, Steve has had enough. As a result, he insists Byron move out at once.

To help put his broken marriage back together, TV producer Byron Clark is planning a romantic trip to Jamaica with his wife, Naomi. Wanting to improve his dancing skills, he asks his friends, Steve and Cedric, for help. And after watching Byron's pathetic efforts on the dance floor, Steve turns him over to Regina for lessons.
Meanwhile, when a famous photographer asks Lovita to pose in the nude, Cedric forbids. And after losing a basketball game to Romeo and Bullethead, Steve and Cedric - trying to even the score - challenge the boys to a game of Monopoly. They lose again.

Steve's friend Byron, a television producer, decides to make Steve the subject of a documentary identifying a celebrity whose fifteen minutes of fame has expired. Cedric, Lovita and Regina seize the opportunity to be interviewed for the program and warm to the chance to see themselves on television. But when questioned, Regina won't divulge any information about her personal relationship with Steve and neither Cedic nor Lovita have a bad word to say about him. As the interviews progress, Byron realizes the scandalous stories about Steve might have to come from the students. Unfortunately, Romeo, Bullethead and Lydia don't have anything but positive anecdotes about Steve.
