The Money at the End?

Does the money at the end mean anything? I remember for the first few episodes it actually tracked how much money they earned/lost during the show. But now it seems totally random. Is there something else to it? Like maybe a code or something?

Well tonight's made no sense at all! Han said he would pay for the damaged dress if they worked it off, but then their final number went down to zero, insinuating that they paid for the dress themselves. Made no sense!
