I do think this show has a pretty interesting story behind it. It premiered on Tuesdays in 2011 and was considered a big deal at the time because it featured Tim Allen’s return to TV. However, ratings wise it didn’t really take off the ground as hoped. It managed to snag a renewal but was shift to Friday’s. It found a good home on Friday nights on ABC and stuck around for 5 years as a solid ratings performer. The show than became associated with the Trump era as its lead is a Trump supporter. The series was then cancelled supposedly for financial reasons even tho it still rated well. They searched for a new home with many speculating the cancellation of the series had something to do with Allen’s support of Trump. A year after it was cancelled the series ended up being picked up by Fox. It then premiered on September 28th to very impressive ratings. Quite the story for this one little show. Wonder what will happen next?
