Colin Murray introduces highlights of the day's Premier League games, including the match between Everton and Liverpool. Merseyside derbies are usually fast and frenetic affairs, with the last 11 league games producing 19 red cards. Liverpool's Sotirios Kyrgiakos and Everton's Marouane Fellaini were both dismissed when the sides last met before Dirk Kuyt grabbed the winner for the Reds. The day's other game sees newly-promoted Blackpool host Manchester City at Bloomfield Road. While City have spent a fortune in the hope of becoming a Premier League force, Ian Holloway guided Blackpool to promotion from the Championship on a shoestring budget. Most pundits tipped the Tangerines to struggle before the start of the season, but there have been some encouraging signs from Holloway's side so far.

Colin Murray presents highlights of the day's Premier League matches, including an intriguing match at Eastlands where Manchester City welcome title rivals Arsenal. City won this fixture 4-2 last season but the match made the headlines for all the wrong reasons when City striker Emmanuel Adebayor - signed from Arsenal - incensed some of the Gunners fans by running the length of the pitch to celebrate his goal in front of them. Elsewhere, Manchester United are at Stoke, while Liverpool will hope to put their poor start to the season behind them when they play Blackburn at Anfield.

Colin Murray presents highlights of the day's two Premier League matches and a round-up of the rest of the weekend's action. West Brom and West Ham face north-east opposition, with Newcastle travelling to the Hawthorns and Sunderland hosting the Hammers. Promoted pair West Brom and Newcastle have acquitted themselves well in the top flight this season. The Baggies have won at Arsenal and held Manchester United at Old Trafford, while Newcastle put six past Villa and scored five against Sunderland. Both league meetings were drawn last season, and West Brom have not claimed all three points in 17 attempts since Boxing Day 1984. West Ham have taken 10 points out of the last 12 against Sunderland and already won at the Stadium of Light this season, in the League Cup. Having made a poor start to the campaign, West Ham will be desperate to keep that good run going.

Colin Murray presents highlights of the day's three Premier League matches, which were all derby games. There is also a chance to see the goals from all of Saturday's games in the top flight. Having struggled to beat Chelsea for years, Tottenham were looking for a third consecutive home win over the Blues at White Hart Lane today. Spurs' last victory in April threatened to derail Chelsea's title hopes and although Carlo Ancelotti's side were eventually crowned champions, his players will be determined to avenge that defeat today. Birmingham have won their last three league matches against Wolves, including the last meeting at St Andrew's in February when they had to rely on two late Kevin Phillips goals. Wolves had home advantage today although that didn't help them in their only previous derby this season, when they conceded a late Emile Heskey goal to lose 2-1 at home to Aston Villa. Bolton against Blackburn is always a fiercely contested derby match.

Off-field events at Ewood Park have overshadowed Blackburn's season, with the new owners controversially sacking manager Sam Allardyce last month shortly after completing their takeover of the club. Caretaker manager Steve Kean claims he can satisfy the owners' demands and lead the club into the top five despite having only five million pounds to spend in the January transfer window. Today's opponents West Brom have more modest ambitions - avoiding relegation - but they have exceeded expectation since promotion last summer.

Colin Murray presents highlights from today's two Barclays Premier League matches, as well as all the goals and talking points from yesterday's eight games. Today's fixtures include Liverpool's visit to the Stadium of Light, where they suffered a controversial 1-0 defeat to Sunderland last season when Darren Bent's winner found the net after deflecting off a beach ball thrown onto the pitch by a Reds fan. Also in action today were Chelsea, who hosted Manchester City at Stamford Bridge. City have a good recent record against the Blues, winning the last three meetings, with their talisman Carlos Tevez finding the net in all three games. The Argentine scored twice in this fixture last season, when City came from behind to win 4-2 in a lively encounter, which Chelsea ended with nine men after both Juliano Belletti and Michael Ballack were sent off.

Colin Murray presents highlights of the day's Premier League programme, which features two fascinating games. Manchester City host Sunderland in a crucial clash hoping to avenge the 1-0 defeat they suffered at the Black Cats in August. Last season's corresponding fixture at Eastlands produced seven goals as City ran out 4-3 winners in a thrilling encounter. Fulham versus Blackpool is also an encounter with much at stake. The last time Blackpool faced Fulham at Craven Cottage, these sides were both in the third tier. That 1999 match ended 4-0 in Fulham's favour - a similar result this time would put a huge dent in the Ian Holloway's bid to keep Blackpool in the Premier League for a second season.

Colin Murray introduces highlights from the day's Premier League matches. Chelsea travel to Manchester United looking to make amends for what has been a disappointing season for the Blues, who claimed a league and cup double last season. Victory at Old Trafford would be some comfort after Sir Alex Ferguson's side knocked them out of the Champions League. It is always a big game when Wolves play West Brom, and with both sides in the relegation battle, there will be even more riding on the match at Molineux. The day's other game sees Arsenal visit Stoke, where the Gunners left it very late for victory last season in a game marred by a serious injury to Aaron Ramsey.

Colin Murray introduces highlights of the day's top-flight games. Premier League champions Manchester United begin the defence of their crown with a trip to West Brom. The Baggies were the only visiting team to claim a league point at Old Trafford last season, but their home record against the Red Devils is less impressive - United have won their last seven league games at the Hawthorns. The reigning champions have bolstered their squad this summer with the signings of Ashley Young, Phil Jones and David de Gea, and manager Sir Alex Ferguson will be hopeful of securing a fifth Premier League title in six seasons. Chelsea's first game under new manager Andre Villas-Boas is an awkward trip to Stoke, who were last season's beaten FA Cup finalists. Villas-Boas arrived at Stamford Bridge after a hugely successful season with FC Porto, prompting inevitable comparisons with Jose Mourinho, who led the Blues to back-to-back Premier League titles.

Colin Murray is joined by Lee Dixon and John Hartson for highlights from the day's three Premier League matches, including the game between Bolton and Manchester City. It's a quick return to the Reebok Stadium for City, whose 2-0 win over the Trotters on the final day of last season helped them secure a third-place finish. Premier League football returns to Carrow Road for the first time since 2005 as Norwich take on Stoke. Paul Lambert's side were the surprise package in last season's Championship, but they face a real step up in class against the Potters, who were beaten finalists in the FA Cup final back in May. The day's other game is at Molineux, where Fulham take a trip to Wolverhampton Wanderers. Mick McCarthy's men narrowly escaped relegation on the final day of last season, and his Wolves side will be hungry to get points on the board quickly this year. There is also a chance to catch up on all yesterday's goals and talking points.

Colin Murray is joined by Alan Hansen and Lee Dixon for highlights of the day's four Premier League matches, including Manchester United against Arsenal and Tottenham versus Manchester City. Champions United twice beat Arsenal at Old Trafford last season, in the league and FA Cup, and have strengthened their squad in the summer with the big-money additions of David de Gea, Ashley Young and Phil Jones. By contrast, Arsenal endured a turbulent off-season, with the futures of unsettled pair Cesc Fabregas and Samir Nasri dominating the headlines. However, the Gunners deservedly beat United when they last met in May and their encounters over the years have usually been tight. Tottenham are unbeaten at home to Manchester City since 2003, but were usurped in the top four by Roberto Mancini's side last season. Ambitious City have again spent big this summer as they seek to win the league title, with Argentine forward Sergio Aguero becoming their record signing.

Colin Murray presents highlights from the day's two Premier League matches as well as a review of all the goals and talking points from Saturday's top-flight games. It is six years since Norwich and West Brom met in the Premier League - the Canaries edged a 3-2 victory that day but have lost three of the four subsequent Championship meetings. The day's other game sees Fulham host Blackburn Rovers at Craven Cottage - it was also 3-2 when those teams last met in March. A controversial last-minute penalty enabled Bobby Zamora to clinch victory for Fulham, which led to a red card for Rovers' defender Gael Givet, who was furious with referee Mark Clattenburg's decision to award a spot-kick.

Colin Murray introduces highlights of the day's Premier League game between Queens Park Rangers and Aston Villa. QPR won promotion from the Championship last season, so this will be Villa's first top-flight game away to Rangers for 16 years. The London club made a terrible start to life in the Premier League, suffering a 4-0 home defeat to Bolton, but since then manager Neil Warnock has brought in several experienced players, including ex-Villa full-back Luke Young and former Newcastle midfielder Joey Barton. Villa lost two of their best players in the close season, with Ashley Young sold to Manchester United and Stewart Downing departing to Liverpool. However, new manager Alex McLeish can still count on the predatory skills of England striker Darren Bent, along with new summer signing Charles N'Zogbia.

Arsenal meet Sunderland at The Emirates where last season the Black Cats held the Gunners to a hard earned goalless draw. This season both sides have struggled and need the points as they have not had the best of starts in the league. The day's third game sees Tottenham travel to Newcastle where the London side have not won since August 2004. Clashes between United and City are always eagerly anticipated, but even more so this year after the terrific starts both clubs have made to the season. There is also another local derby taking place with Chelsea visiting west London neighbours QPR for the first time in 15 years. Still a hugely popular figure among Spurs fans, the Dutchman will put sentiment to one side as he bids to end Fulham's dismal run in league fixtures between these sides. The Cottagers have only beaten Tottenham in one of their last 10 league matches, but they triumphed easily against Harry Redknapp's side 4-0 in the FA Cup last season. Colin Murray presents highlights of the day's busy four match Premier League schedule. Title contenders City have failed to score in their last three league games against the Gunners, but with the likes of Sergio Aguero, Edin Dzeko and Mario Balotelli among the goals this season, they will be confident of ending that run. Arsenal's last visit to Manchester saw them concede eight goals against Manchester United, and the Gunners have not won at City since 2008 - so history seems against them. City's neighbours, Manchester United are also in action against London opposition, with Sir Alex Ferguson's title chasing outfit hitting the road and taking on Queens Park Rangers at Loftus Road. Neil Warnock's side have had a solid start in their return to top flight but they have not beaten the Red Devils since a famous 4-1 win on New Year's Day back in 1992.

Colin Murray presents highlights of the day's two Premier League matches, which see Manchester City travel to Aston Villa and a West Midlands derby between Wolves and West Brom at Molineux. Manchester City were comfortable 4-1 winners when they hosted Aston Villa at the Etihad Stadium in October, but that was when they were in the middle of a scintillating run of form that saw them win 11 of their first 12 league games. Roberto Mancini's side have stuttered a bit since then, something that will give Villa manager Alex McLeish hope. There's never any lack of passion in a Black Country derby and the stakes are even higher this time as Wolves and West Brom go in search of points that will ease their relegation fears. Mick McCarthy's men won this fixture 3-1 last season, but the Baggies took the spoils at the Hawthorns in October, and are looking for their first top-flight double over Wolves for 30 years.

Colin Murray presents highlights of the day's three Premier League matches. Arsenal host north London rivals Tottenham, Manchester United travel to Norwich, and Stoke welcome Swansea to the Potteries. Spurs have recently turned the tables on their rivalry with Arsenal, sitting higher in the table than the Gunners for much of this season. Their run of good form began back in early October when Kyle Walker's fierce late strike gave Tottenham a 2-1 win in a frenetic north London derby at White Hart Lane. Reigning Premier League champions Manchester United continue the defence of their title with a visit to Norwich, who have impressed with some fine results this season since being promoted back to the top flight. Swansea travel to Stoke hoping to improve on an erratic away record in their first ever season in the Premier League. Colin and guests also look back at the goals and talking points from Saturday's six matches.

Colin Murray presents highlights of the day's three Premier League games, including the crucial match between Tottenham and Manchester United at White Hart Lane. The reigning champions beat Spurs 3-0 back in August, but Harry Redknapp's side have recovered to mount a sustained title challenge. It is 11 years since Tottenham last beat United, but with world-class players such as Luka Modric and Gareth Bale at their disposal, Spurs can be a match for any team on their day. Sir Alex Ferguson's men have enjoyed facing London sides so far this season, winning six of seven league games against opposition from the capital, with the only exception their remarkable 3-3 draw with Chelsea. Wolves head south to face Fulham at Craven Cottage, where they have not won a top-flight fixture since 1967, and the day's early kick-off sees high-flying Newcastle play in-form Sunderland. The match will be Martin O'Neill's first Tyne-Wear derby since taking charge of the Black Cats in December.

Colin Murray presents the best of the action from the day's three crucial Premier League clashes which have huge significance at both ends of the table. It is a massive day in terms of who will win this season's Barclays Premier League as title chasing Manchester City and Manchester United are both in action - with City facing a tough trip to Swansea, while United host West Bromwich Albion at Old Trafford. The two Manchester sides have set the pace from the start of the season and both will be wanting to pile the pressure on each other as the run-in hots up. There is a crucial game also for relegation threatened Wigan, with Roberto Martinez's side travelling to Norwich. Wigan have struggled throughout this season and are once again in great danger. They escaped the drop on the last day of last season - they will be aiming for maximum points to maintain their hopes of survival again this time.

Colin Murray presents highlights of the day's Premier League fixtures between Newcastle and Liverpool, and Tottenham against Swansea. Both Newcastle and Liverpool are vying for a top-six finish and European qualification, a target that would exceed Newcastle's pre-season expectations, but one which would be considered a minimum requirement by the Reds. Liverpool's season has been undermined by a lack of goals, and all eyes will be on struggling 35m pound striker Andy Carroll as he returns to his former club for the first time since his British record transfer. Champions League-chasing Tottenham play host to a Swansea side which has exceeded expectation since promotion to the Premier League. The two sides drew 1-1 in the reverse fixture but Swansea go into this game seeking their first ever league victory at White Hart Lane. Colin Murray introduces highlights from the day's three Premier League fixtures, with analysis from Alan Shearer, Robbie Savage and special guest, Swansea manager Brendan Rodgers. Manchester United welcomed Everton to Old Trafford looking to complete their first league double over the Merseysiders since the 2007/08 season. In the three campaigns that have followed, the Toffees have frequently frustrated United and were unlucky to lose 1-0 at Goodison Park in October. Javier Hernandez scored the winning-goal but Leighton Baines struck the bar for David Moyes's side. Fellow title challengers Manchester City were also in action travelling to Molineux to take on Wolves, a venue that has not been a happy hunting ground in previous seasons as City have suffered two defeats from three previous Premier League trips.

In the early kick-off, Chelsea welcome west London rivals Queens Park Rangers to Stamford Bridge. The two sides have already clashed twice this season with honours even at one win apiece. In the day's other game, Tottenham host Blackburn in a match crucial to both sides. Spurs are chasing a top-four finish that would secure a return to the Champions League - and they will be buoyed by their excellent recent record over Rovers which has seen them lose just two of their last 16 meetings. Steve Kean's Blackburn side meanwhile have endured a tough season as they battle to avoid relegation to the Championship for the first time since 1999. Colin Murray presents highlights of today's three Premier League games, including Liverpool's clash with Arsenal at Anfield. The Reds reached two cup finals last term, but disappointing league form saw Kenny Dalglish replaced by former Swansea boss Brendan Rodgers. The Northern Irishman likes his sides to play free-flowing football, as does Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger, so today's game should be one to savour. The Gunners won this fixture 2-1 last season thanks to an injury-time Robin van Persie goal, and that victory proved crucial at they went on to qualify for the Champions League for the 15th consecutive season. Elsewhere, Manchester United make the long trip south to face newly-promoted Southampton at the St Mary's Stadium. The Saints dropped out of the top flight in 2005 after losing to the Red Devils on the final day, and will feel they are long overdue revenge against Sir Alex Ferguson's men.

The Baggies followed up a stunning opening day win over Liverpool with a point against Tottenham at White Hart Lane to give new manager Steve Clarke a dream introduction to life at West Brom. The Tyne-Wear derby is always a fiercely contested fixture, and the last four meetings have produced a total of four red cards, including dismissals for Sunderland duo Stephane Sessegnon and Lee Cattermole when the sides last met in March. On that occasion Shola Ameobi netted a late equaliser for Newcastle, who have only lost one of their last 15 games against the Black Cats. The day's other game sees QPR meet Everton at Loftus Road, where the Toffees have only won once in the last 25 years. Colin Murray presents highlights from the day's two Premier League matches, along with a chance to catch up with the goals from Saturday's top-flight games. There is usually plenty of excitement when Liverpool and Newcastle clash, and this game was Reds' manager Brendan Rodgers' first taste of this particular fixture. Home victories have been hard to come by for Liverpool in 2012, but Rodgers will have been encouraged by the fact that Anfield has not been a happy hunting ground for Newcastle in recent years, with the Tyneside club losing on their last seven visits there. QPR and Reading have both endured tough starts to the 2012-13 campaign, so their meeting at Loftus Road could prove vital if both find themselves in a relegation fight in the spring. Colin Murray presents highlights from the day's Premier League game, which pits Norwich City against Sunderland at Carrow Road. The match sees Sunderland boss Martin O'Neill return to the club where he had spells as both player and manager. The Black Cats have a poor record away to the Canaries - their last league win there was 27 years ago. So far this season, O'Neill's side have been tough to beat but over-reliant on summer signing and top scorer Steven Fletcher. A rare away win would therefore be a real boost to the Wearsiders' confidence. The Canaries suffered the disruption of losing manager Paul Lambert to Aston Villa this summer. His replacement, former Newcastle and Birmingham boss Chris Hughton, had to wait until City's eighth league game of the season to register a first win, courtesy of Grant Holt's strike against Arsenal. Holt was Norwich's top scorer last season, and the Canaries need him back to his best if they are to avoid being drawn into a relegation struggle.

Everton take on Chelsea at Goodison Park, a ground the west London club have struggled at in previous seasons. The Toffees are unbeaten in their last four home encounters against Chelsea, winning the last three. Chelsea's last victory at Goodison came courtesy of a Michael Essien match-winning goal during the 2007/08 campaign. Queens Park Rangers host Liverpool at Loftus Road in the other game, with the 2011 season's 3-2 triumph for the Rs still fresh in the memory. Colin Murray introduces highlights of the day's two Premier League fixtures: the top-of-the-table meeting between Manchester City and Chelsea, and Newcastle's game with fellow strugglers Southampton. Samir Nasri's late winner for Manchester City in last season's corresponding fixture against Chelsea kept them firmly in the title race and they were in need of a repeat of that result today. The two sides contested a drab goalless draw earlier in the season, memorable only for the hostile reception from Chelsea's supporters toward the club's new manager Rafa Benitez. Chelsea's subsequent exit from all cup competitions has hardly appeased the fans, and the deposed European champions cannot afford to falter in their quest for Champions League qualification. Colin Murray introduces highlights of the day's two Premier League fixtures, with action at both ends of the table. Manchester United's pursuit of their 20th league title continues at Stoke, while there is a crucial Tyne and Wear derby at the foot of the table. Colin Murray introduces highlights from the day's two heavyweight fixtures, with Tottenham hosting Manchester City and Liverpool facing Chelsea in games that will have a bearing on European qualification. Tottenham and Manchester City have twice met in decisive late-season matches in recent seasons, each winning once to qualify for the Champions League at their beaten opponent's expense. They are both in a position to claim a top-four finish this time, although Spurs have less margin for error and had lost their previous four matches in this fixture. In the other game, Chelsea interim manager Rafa Benitez returns to his former club Liverpool. Both sides can ill-afford to drop points as they look to end transitional seasons by securing European qualification. Liverpool have had the upper hand in this fixtures over recent seasons, winning four successive meetings before settling for a draw at Stamford Bridge last November.

Colin Murray introduces highlights of the day's Premier League matches. The early match saw Reading host QPR. Both sides have endured an awful season in which they have been marooned at the foot of the table. Nigel Adkins started the season in charge of Southampton but has since been entrusted with the seemingly impossible job of keeping the Royals in the top flight. Harry Redknapp was given a similar task at QPR, but despite heavy investment, his arrival failed to give Rangers the immediate fillip they needed. Chelsea face a crucial match against Swansea at Stamford Bridge. In the afternoon's late kick-off, Manchester United travelled to north London to face Arsenal. The Gunners are a side the Red Devils have loved facing in recent years, with Sir Alex Ferguson's men losing just one of their last 11 meetings in all competitions.

Colin Murray introduces highlights of the day's two Premier League matches, with the 220th Merseyside derby as hotly-contested as ever. Last season at Anfield, Liverpool emerged as 3-0 winners, with club captain Steven Gerrard scoring a memorable hat-trick to spoil David Moyes' 10th anniversary as Everton boss. Earlier this season, the two clubs drew 2-2 at Goodison Park. Controversial Reds striker Luis Suarez took centre stage, but Everton stole a point after hitting back from being two goals down. The later match sees Manchester United host Chelsea at Old Trafford, a fixture that once again pits Sir Alex Ferguson against old adversary Rafael Benitez. Aside from there being little love lost on the managerial front, these two clubs have a colourful recent rivalry; United beat the Blues in the 2009 European Champions League final, though Chelsea recently knocked the Red Devils out of the FA Cup competition.
