Overview

煉金術，一種建立在等價交換原則基礎上的科學，將物質進行理解、分解、再構造，將一種物品變成另外一種。但是，這樣先進的技術卻不能進行人體煉成，這是煉金術絕對的禁忌。可是，擁有極高煉金術天賦的愛德華（樸璐美 配音）和阿爾馮斯（釘宮理恵 配音）兄弟，因為對母親極大的思念不惜觸犯禁忌。而最終的代價卻是，愛德華失去了一條手臂和一條腿，弟弟阿爾馮斯只能將靈魂依附在一副巨大的裝甲之內。終於明白一切的兄弟倆，為了恢復原狀，尋求更多的煉金術知識，成為國家煉金術師踏上了尋找終極煉金物品——賢者之石的旅程。在不斷的探索中，兩兄弟終於發現了賢者之石背後的真相，對身處的這個軍事化國家也有了更深入的了解。此時，面對國家、民族、家庭……煉金術的未來究竟在何處。
