Fred falls asleep in the lab and dreams that his family is starring in a sitcom celebrating its 10th anniversary. Plans for an anniversary dinner at the Taiwan On go awry because they're spraying for medflies in the area, so they watch home movies and flash back to Turner and Harry's accident and to the time Casey first had Fred's parents over for dinner. Turner runs up to his room, crying, because he thinks the family is laughing at him rather than with him. Fred talks to Turner and convinces him to rejoin the family in the living room. The show ends with Casey waking Fred up.

Fred is experimenting with a giant chicken to try to get Harry back to normal size. Meanwhile Idella is jealous because Harry is spending a lot of time with a female fly. Idella flashes back to when Harry and her were young lovers and Harry was leaving for Vietnam. Idella is about to murder the fly when it flies into a window and dies. Idella and Harry make up at the end of the show and Fred disposes of the dead fly.

Tina has a big date and wants to borrow Ike's leather jacket. He refuses but she persists. They're arguing in the andromeda chamber when Turner locks them in. The experiment starts and they motion to Fred to get Turner, who is asleep and dreaming of bunnies and ice cream. Turner can't remember the numbers he pushed to lock Ike and Tina in, but Tina realizes that they were the numbers from his favourite song. They get out in time for Tina to go on her date.

The Pratts, the Edisons' yuppie neighbours, stay at the mansion when they get their house renovated and make themselves a pain in the behind. Casey has hostile feelings towards them and dreams of experimenting on them, but Fred and Casey and too scared to kick them out. So Harry takes it into his own hands and scares them out of the house, but only Ike and Turner know what he did. Throughout the show Harry is carrying out conversations with ants.

Fred is spending so much time with his guiney pig Fats that he neglects Casey. Casey finally gets over her inhibitions and tells Fred exactly how she feels about it. Fred is really distraught and goes to his barber for advice. Tony suggests finding the one thing that will make Casey feel special, so Fred buys a home dance kit and sings Casey an ear-splitting rendition of ""When a Man Loves a Woman"". They end the show in each other's arms.

The show starts with Tina politely telling her date that she doesn't really like him. Turner's tooth is loose, and Fred is out buying popcorn for the big movie ""Tara, Tara, Tara"", a TV remake of ""Gone with the Wind"". Fred misses most of the movie because he's putting Turner to sleep, but it turns out to be no great loss. Turner dreams that he's visited by the Sandman (a boring comedian), the tooth fairy (an Englishwoman) and Mr. Coffee (who is in the middle of a messy divorce). The show ends with a monologue by Uncle Harry.

Fred is playing around in the living room when Lenny Orca, Harry's long-lost boxing twin brother from Canada, comes to the door. Lenny tells the family that the reason he's taken so long to visit is that he's come home to die. He's OK with it, and the kids are too, but Fred, Casey and Idella are very concerned about it and decide not to tell him about Harry because it might kill him. He finds out anyway, but the doctor phones and tells him that he's not going to die. He promises to visit again at Christmas, gives the kids loonies, and makes up with Harry for an incident at the orphanage.

A gangster boss just got out of prison so he sends his two stoolies to look for the guy who ratted on him, Harry Orca. Turner lets them into the house by mistake, and they hold the family hostage and almost kill Harry. Richard comes over to complain about an illegaly-parked car but he leaves without realizing that the family is in danger. When the gangsters can't bring themselves to kill Fred, Idella takes the matter into her own hands and chases them out of the mansion right into the arms of Richard Pratt and two policemen.

When Fred's experiment fails he gets very depressed and flashes back to his graduation when Casey gave him Success and Failure stamps. The rest of the family is singing the Edison Family song. Richard comes over and tries to convince Fred to move to Tacoma. The real-estate agent comes during dinner, and the family is shocked that Fred wants to move. Fred passes out and Casey chases the agent out of the house. To comfort Fred, Casey brings down a letter he wrote her 16 years ago. The show ends with everyone, including Fred, singing the Edison Family song.

Ike wants to see a scary movie that his family won't let him see, so he goes with Turner. Turner is scared out of his mind. During the night, Harry gets caught in a spider's web and Turner is the only person there to get him out. But he's scared to touch the spider since there were giant spiders in the movie Ike took him to see. He finally gets over his fear and picks up the spider just in time to save Harry. On Tina's suggestion, Ike's punishment is having to take Turner to every Saturday matinee for the next six months.

Tina wins an essay contest and the vice-president plans to visit the mansion to celebrate. The guy that Tina invites to dinner is an environmental activist who wants to spraypaint the VP green. Tina dreams that she's on America's Most Wanted after they spraypaint the VP. A Secret Service agent comes over, however, and tells the family that he's sorry but the VP won't be able to make it to the mansion after all. Tina tells Ryan that spraypainting someone to make a statement is stupid and she wouldn't have done it anyways.

For Fred and Casey's 16th anniversary, Fred goes to the mall and gets her two tickets to see her old band-mate Jaz Pope. The family watches a video of Casey and Jaz to see what she was like. After Jaz' performance, which really stunk, Casey is debating whether or not to tell Jaz the truth about how bad her music is. Casey decides not to, and Fred, who Jaz thinks is Casey's old boyfriend Snake, doesn't help either. Jaz comes over to the mansion and she and Casey give a concert to the family.

The family is making plans for a trip to Hawaii, but Ike is told by his teacher that if his next essay isn't good enough, he will fail Social Studies and have to go to summer school, which would make the trip impossible. But he can't bring himself to tell his family. After a nightmare he finally tells. The family is mad at him, but support his essay, which he thinks is good enough to pull off a passing grade. The show ends with the family lying in the sand relaxing and listening to the sounds of the ocean... on the back porch.

The family is worried whether Uncle Lenny will make it to the mansion for Christmas because of a big storm that's predicted. Kiefer tells Turner that Santa Claus doesn't exist. Meanwhile Lenny's dogsled gets snowed in, he hitches a ride on a plane, falls off it and collapses in the snow. Turner goes to sleep asking Santa to forget about all the presents for him and to help his Uncle instead. Santa comes to Turner (in a dream?) and takes him to where Lenny is lying in the snow and they bring him home for Christmas.

The parents of Dexter, a guy in Tina's class, convince him that he must defeat her academically, so he comes over and plants a virus in her computer. Her computer is hooked up to the computer in the lab, so when Fred tries an experiment on Buck it turns him into a mutant monster. Dexter, who is torn between his crush on Tina and his parents' hard line, goes to the mansion to confess what he's done. He has an argument with his parents through the closed door, and finally his family agrees to stop pushing him so much. Dexter fixes the virus he put in the computer so Buck is turned back to normal.

Idella tells Harry that she misses their old relationship. He is distressed and asks Fred to turn him into a giant fly to save his marriage. Idella is delighted, but every time someone comes over to the mansion Harry has to hide since he still has giant wings. He's sick of all this hiding, and confesses how he feels. Idella finally accepts that Harry was happier as a fly, and they decide that Harry will be shrunk back. The show ends with Idella deciding to share the cooking for the family.

Fred goes to the a meeting of the L.L. Edison Corporation, the company that his grandfather founded which he has to go to once a year to sign a bunch of forms. The new board member Totterton is forgetting the Edison values and only working for money. Idella suggests that Fred call his father, but Fred wants to solve this problem on his own. Idella comes to a meeting and gets Fred to sign all his shares to her, then denounces Totterton. Her and Fred convince the board to return to the company's old values. To celebrate the family orders from the Taiwan On and Fred's father comes over and tells Fred he's proud of him.

Ike is being mean to Turner and Casey yells at him when he puts his man in the toaster so he goes up to his room to play with his dollhouse. Casey comes up to talk to him and they make up but Tina bursts in and yells at him about her tape. Idella reads a letter from Lenny to Casey. Turner is really upset and dreams about him being the boss. All his kids are bothering him so he learns how tough it is to be a parent. He apologizes to the family, and at the end of the show he is made King of the House for 44 minutes.

For Tina's '60s dance Fred is going to teach her the twist, but the record is broken in two. Fred and Casey automatically blame the kids, and try to find out which one did it. Someone comes down during the night and replaces the record with a new one. The adults lecture the kids about the record, and trick Tina into confessing to replacing the record, but not to breaking it. Then Turner says he broke the record but he really didn't. It turns out the record was broken by an explosion from the lab, so Fred and Casey owe the kids and apology.

This episode is done live, in front of an audience in Toronto. Fred's too sick to go to the zoo but the family doesn't seem to mind. He gets depressed about this, collapses and dies and spends the rest of the show observing how the family responds to his death. The lights switch back and forth between Fred and the family and weird things keep happening. Then all the lights go out and the family comes back to find Fred lying on the floor. His death was just a dream. Needless to say, the cast is not happy with how the show turned out and Fred blames the whole thing on the producer.

Idella is telling Tina about the romance in Europe because of Tina's class trip that she's going to take. Tina is in the closet and overhears Casey telling Fred that because of a hair disaster their collaboration on experiments is over; Tina thinks that they're talking about their marriage being over. She dreams of a long Spanish Flamenco dance scene with her, Fred and Casey. Then she's a Gondolier taking Fred and Casey to a bridge of love. Then the family starts singing opera. Tina wakes up, sees Fred and Casey make up and says she's never felt better in her whole life.

Fred and Tina finally discover a way to get Harry and Turner back to normal. Turner doesn't really want to be small, Casey doesn't really want it either because Harry and Idella are going to move out. Turner and Harry are put in the chamber for the final time, but, as Ike points out, they forgot the ball. When the experiment is finished, the family takes one look at Turner and Harry and scream their guts out. The director yells ""cut"", the season ends, and the party starts. Everyone is different at the party: Idella talks with a Caribbean accent, Fred is a pompous baboon, Lenny is a boor, Turner is going to the desert with a biker gang, Harry is planning to do a fishing show, Casey is a total ditz who's going to do a show in Venezuela, Ike's voice is changing and Tina is overeating. Fred is thinking of leaving the show, but gets up to give a speech and breaks down. He decides never to leave because Maniac Mansion is his family. Everyone starts clapping, then Fred wakes up, and

Harry is stuck inside the mansion in a parody of Home Alone. Most of this episode is Fred explaining what Maniac Mansion is about. He tells stories of pilot episodes, and how the show developed from there. He then meets Casey and Idella, and finds out that the script has changed so that only Harry is in it. He's angry and tells Ike and Turner that they have to write themselves into their own script. Later, Tina comes by and makes him realize that the show is about everyone through flashbacks of the first season. At the end, the family decides that they need to make it look like a television show again. They have Fred wake up from a nightmare about his family being a TV show, as they sometimes did in the first season.

Casey complains about how the living room looks, and wants to redecorate it. Fred doesn't want to, but eventually gives in and tells Casey to go ahead. Fred flashes back to his 18th birthday, and remembers how happy he is with the living room. The movers come to get the couch, but on the way out Turner jumps on it. Casey tells him that they'll keep the furniture, but gives Fred a lecture about how selfish he's being. Fred then flashes back to his birthday when he was drafted. He then decides that the family should make their own history as a new generation of Edisons. The show ends with everyone enjoying the furniture Casey picked out.

Harry watches a talk show that Idella hates. She tells him that he has as much talent in him as all of their guests put together. This inspires him to go down to the studio where the show is taped. When Lanny Reese (the host) realized who Harry was, he trapped him in a glass. The family was worried about where Harry was, and they though he was dead. That night they watched the Lanny Reese show and saw Harry trapped. Harry pretended to be dead, and flew out when Lanny lifted his hand off of the glass. He made his way home, and the family was glad to have him back.

Turner has been exceptionally bad lately, and after breaking a cookie jar Casey sends him to his room. Ike tells him that he should fake running away from home to teach his parents a lesson. After Ike left, Turner shrinks down to microscopic size and falls into his shoe. Fred had performed this shrinking experiment on him earlier, but the effect was delayed. Ike realized the mistake of telling Turner to run away and goes back into his room. When Ike can't find him, he thinks he really ran away from home. Ike tells Casey what he did, and the family discusses whose fault it was. Later on they hear a crash, and go upstairs to find Turner back to his normal size.

Fred invents a computer called RD-12 that has true artificial intelligence. Fred and Tina feed him scientific data to improve his knowledge. Everyone else starts talking to him about other aspects of life, which he finds more interesting. So now he wants to leave and explore things other than science. After arguing with the family, Fred gives in and lets him go.

Idella and Casey have been bothering each other a lot lately. Fred tells Casey and Harry tells Idella to rise above it and not to fight. Later, Casey and Idella go to an auction in a far off town. They begin to annoy each other on the way home, and then fight at dinner. After that, Idella and Harry move out to a hotel. Harry comes back and makes Casey visit Idella at the hotel. They talk about what's bothering them and agree that Idella and Harry should move back home.

Tina and her friend Val go out to see a movie. During the show, Val acts mad at Tina. Val feels that her boyfriend is falling all over Tina and that she is stuck up. Later, Tina accidentally eats one of Fred's experiments that makes her really ugly. Tina then locks herself in her bedroom and refuses to come out. After realizing her mistake, Val comes over and apologizes for what she said. Tina and her make up, and the effect wears off.

During dinner, a cab gets into an accident outside of the house. It turns out that Jose Ferrer was in the cab and has hurt his ankle. So the Edisons let him stay at the house while Fred fixes his foot. When Fred experiments on him, he messes up and gives Jose rabbit's feet. Fred eventually figures out a way to bring his regular feet back, and Jose leaves.

Fred finds a book in the lab called ""My Forbidden Experiments"". He decides to perform one of them, and creates an odd slime creature which he doesn't know about. When looking for his headphones, the slime attacks Keifer and makes him act strange. Now all Keifer wants to do is help out Fred in the lab on an experiment that absorbs oxygen. Fred figures out that Keifer is now an alien creature who wants to get rid of all the oxygen on earth. Fred then tricks him into the andromeda chamber, and changes him back to normal.

Lenny met a girl in France and they are planning to get married. She comes to meet the family, and things go well. Later, Lenny tells Teri he can't marry her because he could die soon. The doctor told him if he gets hit in the head one more time, that would be it. He eventually decides to go through and have the wedding anway. During the ceremony, Lenny drops the ring and he bends down to pick it up. Teri goes to get it at the same time and they bump heads. The collision puts Lenny into a coma, and everyone thinks he's dead.

Lenny is in a coma at the local hospital. The doctor tells the family that there's nothing he can do except wait until Lenny decides to come out of his coma. In a dream, Lenny meets St. Ian. After helping him out, Lenny convinces St. Ian to let him go back. Lenny wakes up and the show ends with pictures from the wedding reception.

Fred develops a machine that increases human intelligence. Fred tries it on himself and likes the results. However, he steadily becomes more dependant on the machine and uses it all the time. It gets to the point where he's obsessed with knowledge and loses touch with the family. Fred then realizes he needs help and gets rid of the machine.

A new neighbor moves in, and visits the Edisons. He's part of the witness relocation program because he ratted on a mob family. He thinks Fred is Tony, who was part of the gang. He also thinks that Fred is going to kill him. Fred sets him straight, and he's quite relieved. Later, two real men from the gang come looking for Hudgie, and get scared when they see Fred. They decide to meet at a local diner, and Hudgie has Fred pretend to be Tony. With the help of Harry, Fred and Hudgie fool the mobsters. He then moves to Calcutta to avoid being caught again by the gang.

Fred's friend Eddie from high school shows up at the mansion. He's an actor who has had problems with drinking in his past. After getting shot down for another big role, he decides to drink again. He then shows up at Tina's play drunk and completely embarrasses her. Fred tells Eddie about his problem, so he tries to go without drinking for a week. He succeeds, and decides to keep a smaller role in a movie. Fred decides to throw a party to celebrate. Later, Eddie receives a telegram saying that he lost the job. He then shows up at the party seemingly drunk, but is just acting. He then tells everyone that Fred made him realize he was an alcoholic, and he will remain sober from now on.

Casey's parents are having a party for their 50th wedding anniversary. Everyone's going except for Fred, who sprained his toe and is stuck in bed. Right before they leave, a woman comes to the door and claims to be Casey's biological mother. After talking to her, Casey decides to go to her other parents and leave Fred with her mother at home. Fred starts noticing Dolly is acting strange, and later figures out that she's crazy. He attempts to knock her out, but she ends up noticing him and they start to fight. At that same moment, Casey and the rest of the family come home and break it up. It turns out that the woman had amnesia and thought she was Casey's mom.

Ike likes a girl in school, so he asks her to the dance. She agreees, and everything seems to be going fine. However, at the dance Cherie tells him her dad got a job offer and they'll have to move. She then leaves, and Ike is by himself on the dance floor. Seeing that he's depressed, Tina comes over to dance with him, and Ike feels a little better.

Tina asks Fred if she can go on a ski trip, and he says yes. However, she'll have to watch Turner and Ike when everyone else goes on vacation. As soon as they leave, Ike calls all his friends and tries to have a party. She tells Turner to stop Ike, but he doesn't think he can. After Turner throws Ike across the room, he realizes his own strength. Since he has power over Tina and Ike, he makes them his slaves. To scare Turner and Ike into doing what they're told, Tina pretends that she's made herself super strong in the andromeda chamber. Ike and Turner then clean up the house and start obeying Tina. After realizing what a good job Tina did, Fred lets her go on the ski trip.

Casey gets a call from Allasyn asking if she'll watch her sister's baby. Casey agrees, but wishes she didn't because the baby is colicy. Turner's friend tells him that the family will only pay attention to the baby, and he gets worried. After finally putting the baby to sleep, Turner goes into his room and makes noise, which wakes the baby up. He picks it up so it will stop crying, and the everyone comes into the room. After seeing the baby resting again, they tell Turner that the baby likes him the most because he's the only one that could get it to stop crying. This makes Turner feel better, and he doesn't have any more problems with the baby.

Idella goes to a psychiatrist because she's been having problems with Harry. She starts telling her story, but stops because she doesn't want to reveal that Harry is a fly. Fontanna recommends that she should spend time at the house to better understand Idella's situation. The family agrees, but are also worried about letting Harry's secret out. They eventually do, realizing that it's the only way for Idella to work everything out.

Fred performs an experiment from a book called ""My Forbidden Experiments"". At first nothing happens, so he leaves. Later on, the machine works and an elf-looking guy comes out from another dimension. After going upstairs, he finds out that no one can see him except Turner. The next morning Fred and Casey find the kitchen ransacked. They blame Turner, who then blames Falslag. Since they can't see him, they think Turner made up an imaginary friend to take the blame. That night, Falslag tries to go back where he came from. Turner goes down to help him and makes a lot of noise. When Idella, Fred, and Casey come down, they blame Turner for turning the machine on. He then had them clap their hands to show they believed in Falslag, and he magically appeared before their eyes. They all apologized to Turner, and Fred promises to find a way to send Falslag back.

Idella's Aunt Hildie announces that she's coming to visit, but Idella doesn't want her to. When the rest of the family asks why, she flashes back to when she was raised by her aunts. Aunt Hildie doesn't want Idella to end up alone like she is, and tries to fix Idella up with some men. They all go bad, and Idella moves to New Orleans. She then met and married Harry. When Aunt Hildie found out, she came to visit them. After she meets Harry, she hates him and wants Idella to move home. Idella refuses, and she leaves angry. Right when Idella finishes the story, Aunt Hildie shows up with her long lost husband. She says that when he came back she was a changed woman and isn't mad at Idella any more.

In the future, Tina is talking to her daughter about her new group of friends. Tina is concerned that she is dropping her old friends for this snobby new group. To help her out, she tells a story about a similar situation she was involved in. Some of Tina's wealthy friends saw her house and wanted to hold a fashion show in it. When the comittee comes over to review the house, Tina acts like she's embarrassed of her own family. Even though the comittee turned her down, she wouldn't have excepted it anyway after realizing how snobby she was acting. She then apologizes to the rest of the family.

One day Turner is mysteriously returned to his small self. Everyone assumes that the effect has worn off, and Harry should return to his normal state. He didn't though, and it turns out the meteor is causing strange things to happen at the mansion. Fred tries to figure out a way to fix the problem but nothing works. He ends up fighting the meteor after it tried to go after the family. He wins, and the meteor stops messing with the house.

Lenny comes to visit, and is really depressed. He feels he must prove his love to Terri, and decides to return to boxing. So he loses weight and starts to train. He eventually gets a fight lined up with a boxer named Maddog Mustafa Musthead. Halfway through the fight, Lenny reveals to Maddog the real reason he's fighting. Maddog tells him that he doesn't have to prove his love, and that he possesses everything necessary for a good relationship.

Casey is upset because another magazine rejected her short story. Meanwhile, her friend Roxanne from college plans to make a visit. Casey feels that she hasn't accomplished anything in her life, and doesn't want Roxanne to come over. She changes her mind later on after receiving an acceptance letter to a prestigious magazine. When Roxanne finally came over, Casey tried to tell her the good news but kept being interrupted. On the third retelling, Roxanne thinks she's going to labor and Casey freaks out. She eventually calms down and reveals to Roxanne that she was jealous of her in college. Roxanne tells Casey that she felt the same way about her, and then they both make up.

Fred is sick in bed, and his father comes to visit. He wants to read Fred a book that his father was supposed to read him as a child. In the story, a maiden named Sweetcakes falls in love with a peasant called Nothing Boy. He has to leave, and she thinks she'll never see him again. Meanwhile, the Evil Prince of Tides kills his wife and plans on marrying Sweetcakes. While wandering around the forest, a group confronts and captures her. A masked man comes to save her, and turns out to be Nothing Boy. The Prince of Tides shows up and shoves Nothing Boy over a cliff. Later, at the Evil Prince's castle, the Strongest Man in the World and Pablo show up with Nothing Boy. The Prince and Pablo fight each other, but end up stabbing themselves and dying. In the end, the Princess doesn't marry Nothing boy but The Strongest Man in the World instead.

Ike got into a fight at school with a kid who was smaller than him. Ike didn't fight back because he would be called a bully for beating up someone half his size. Frankie ends up calling Ike's house, and Casey gets on the phone with his mother. She comes over and they start arguing, but stop when Frankie's mom sees Ike. She's surprised that her son gave Ike a black eye, and eventually calms down. Her and Casey talk things out and Ike becomes friends with Frankie.

Fred needs an assistant because he's been working too hard lately. He hires a woman named Julie, and they get along very well. Casey feels jealous about this, but doesn't let it get to her. One day, Julie fell from a stool and Fred went to catch her. At that exact moment, Casey comes down to check on them. She becomes upset because it looked like they were flirting with each other. Fred explains to her that she's the only woman for him, and that there's nothing between him and Julie.

Casey is head of the student exchange program, and a kid from Central Tech will spend time with the Edisons. After he arrives and meets the family, Idella notices a piece of her jewellery is missing. She assumes John stole it, but doesn't have any proof. Casey thinks Idella is jumping to conclusions, but then Idella tells her she saw him put Ike's walkman into his bookbag. Casey confronts John, and he runs away angry. Later, Ike tells her that John bought his tape player, and was just putting it away. Ike eventually finds John, and everyone apologizes for their misconceptions.

Allasyn wants the Edison Corporation to approve a composter that one of her clients developed. Casey is fed up with the Pratts, and says no. Fred sees Allasyn a little later, and agrees to have a look at it. This causes a big argument between Casey and Fred. She feels that the Pratts always ask for favours, but never help them out in return. Fred feels that this composter is an important development in recycling, and wants to continue developing it. After days of fighting they eventually realize that the whole thing is ridiculous. Fred discovers that the composter isn't worth working on, and Casey is over her problem with the Pratts. Allasyn comes over later and they give the composter back to her.

The family is packing for a trip to Cape Scary, and go out to eat after they're done. A man in the restaurant who looks just like Fred pays his bill, and Fred gets weirded out. Later, Fred gets a call from this mysterious man who reveals himself as Remax Brady. Remax shows up at the mansion, so Fred, Tina and Casey develop a plan to get him out. While in the lab, Remax comes through the door and they see him in the camera Fred set up. They go upstairs to fight him, and the lights go out. After a big fight they eventually subdue him. They later find out Remax only wanted to get back at Fred for the time he accidentally received an award of his at camp.

Fred gets Turner tickets to go see a wrestling match with his favourite wrestler, The Atomizer. Ike then tells Turner it's all fake, but Fred tells him it's real. During the match, Turner gets up into the ring and wins the match for the Atomizer. His manager Joey wants Turner to become a wrestler. The family is against it, so Fred tells him wrestling is actually fake. This makes Turner mad because Fred had lied to him before, so the family reconsiders and lets him wrestle. He wins a lot of matches and is really successful, but the fame has made him change. Fred can't stand that Turner hates him, so he has The Atomizer tell Turner that wrestling is actually fake. He reveals this to him, and also tells Turner he's lucky to have a dad like Fred who will love him. After that, Fred and him make up and Turner quits his wrestling career.

Ike is preparing for the science fair and asks Fred for help. Casey and Fred agree that Ike should do it on his own. Then the Pratts want Fred to help Keifer with his project. They at first say no because of Ike, but eventually give in. Fred felt it was unfair to Ike, so he gave him and idea about a project and let Ike do the rest. Since Fred did Keifer's project for him, he couldn't demonstrate it correctly at the fair and failed. Ike's volcano did come in second place, beat only because a girl named Cindy's had a much larger explosion.

Casey and Fred let Turner go to the park by himself now that he's old enough. He meets a girl there and thinks he's fallen in love. The girl turns out to be an older woman, and she doesn't know how old Turner is. Turner brings her to meet the family, and Casey and Fred tell her how young Turner really is. Rose tells Turner they can't see each other anymore and Turner agrees.

Fred dreams that he's starring in a 50's science-fiction movie in which he is a brilliant scientist, Casey is bed-ridden and blind, Ike is a normal 50's kid and Tina is a brainy bombshell. There is a giant beaver terrorizing the Eastern United States and Fred, in consultation with President Eisenhower, develops a plan to defeat it, using the A-Bomb and rock star Brad Stones. The plan works, and the resulting A-Bomb blast cures Casey's blindness. Then Fred wakes up and realizes that it's back to his normal everyday existence.

Tina's new boyfriend James comes over to meet the family. During dinner they find out that his father once dated Casey in high school. When James tells his dad about this, he decides to come visit. While getting ready, Casey breaks down and tells the family that Walter had stood her up one day and later dumped her. After hearing this, Harry reveals that he never gave Walter a note from Casey saying where they'd meet. So Walter didn't actually stand her up, and that's why they broke up. Casey is at first angry at Harry, but later realizes that Walter wasn't the right man for her and that Fred is.

Tina forms a band and enters a contest. While rehearsing, she finds out that Lorrie isn't dancing right because she's shy. Tina thinks about firing her, but feels bad because Lorrie is her friend. Then Lorrie comes over to tell Tina she wants to quit. Tina makes her sing loud enough so she can hear it, and finds out that Lorrie is the best vocalist in the group. To give Lorrie the attention she deserves, Tina fakes her voice going out during the show. This forces Lorrie to become the main singer, and she was a big hit. However, another contestant beats them out for first place in the end.

Ike wants to get Cherie's attention, so he decides to run for president of the student council. Keifer becomes his campaign manager, and starts putting up posters of Ike and a another girl in his class named Geena Brakendale. When Cherie sees these pictures she gets angry and tells Ike she never wants to see him again. Ike gives a prepared speech at the ceremony, but stops halfway through and tells the truth. He explains why he really ran and also that no one should vote for him. The speech won over Cherie, who then began to clap. Everyone else there started to clap and he ended up winning the election.

Fred puts a glass door on the andromeda chamber. The glass isn't thick enough, so the effect of an experiment went through and into Fred. This experiment changes him into a crazy doctor. The rest of the episode is a parody of ""The Silence of the Lambs"", with Fred playing the part of Hannibal Lector and Tina playing the part of the woman who helps him. Tina eventually figures out a way to reverse the effects, and Fred comes back to his normal self.

Idella feels that she isn't doing enough with her life and decides to look for a job. She was rejected from many jobs until finally a pizza shop in the area hires her. Unfortunately, the main boss forces Idella's manager to hire his daughter, and the manager must fire Idella. Although she wanted to keep the job, Idella is happy to have time to spend with the family.

Turner finds Fred's love letters to Casey, and accidentally drops one on the Pratts' driveway. Allasyn shows the letter to Fred and he realizes what happened once he reads it. This prompts Casey to retell the story of how her and Fred met. Fred was working in the school lab with his girlfriend when Casey and her hippie friend came in. To protest Fred's girlfriend's dad's chemical company, Casey and Pony handcuff themselves to her and Fred. After Pony gets them out of the handcuffs, Fred's girlfriend locks Casey to a pole and calls the police. Her and Fred leave, but Fred comes back and frees Casey.

Fred's Uncle Joe comes to stay with the family for awhile. His wife just died recently and he isn't in the best of health either. One night he dreams of dancing with her, and dies in his sleep. The family misses him, but are happy that he is now reunited with his wife.

Harry is bedridden with indigestion, and ponders his life. He feels that his life is meaningless and that he's a burden to the rest of the family. Later on, his conscience visits him and shows him how important he is to the rest of the family.

Sometime in the future, Turner ends up as an owner of a television station. He wants to create a show about a family exactly like the one he's had. The two writers he's hired try to make a common show, which Turner doesn't want. He then tells them about events that happened to his family, which gets them to write what he originally had in mind.
