I assume that's what caused the chaos -> I'm starting to handle these reports now, but I'm not sure I'll finish this tonight. Let's see ...

You reported that "this serie need to be totaly updated, cause of lot of error in saison" and that "there are 4 eps at the end of season 1 need to be deleted".

Both is most likely true, this series seems to be a mess. Mainly because different contributors of different countries in different languages add their data differently. Which leads to chaos!

We're working on a solution for this type of content, but we need time for cleaning everything up and fixing the mistakes. I can't delete single episodes that look empty to you, because there's still a translation in another language that would be lost inevitably. That's why we need to re-structure this show, hopefully in the near future.

I know, only we moderators can do that. But we can only delete things when we're 100% sure about the original airing and how different languages match this default airing. And this takes lots of time ...

I use french langage and my prior source is a very good website for animes : https://www.nautiljon.com there are all data needed for here and it's better for certain thing exemple grouped animes for this case : https://www.nautiljon.com/groupes/d%C3%A9tective+conan,82.html there are all series, film, oav and more and more and it is very complete.

Yes it's for big serie's the same pb, for naruto shippuden for exemple, i have bloqued update from tmdb and changing with wiki data, i haven't the same number of season, it's classed didferently.

Detective Conan is an ongoing anime. There's already like 900 episodes. Starting from episode 370-ish, syoboi is the way to go for airdates. Anything before that, I would trust AniDB on.

It's also on CR, but it's geoblocked, in NL I can't access it, and Funimation, but same. Though that's of course the US order. ((//EDIT: If there's even a difference, I don't know)

Okay, so, how should I do it?

Option 1: I make a season 1 with all those 900+ episodes in it? And when this is finished, we can make all kinds of episode groups.

Option 2: I split those 900+ episodes in seasons like it is now?

When it comes to the content: Is one option better than the other one?

If it doesn't matter, I think all episodes put in 1 season is easier/faster to realize by me.

Definitely one season, and episode groups for alternative orderings, but I think we better ask travis to merge all the seasons, when all wrong episode are discarded (if neccessary). Creating 900 episodes anew is a bit of a pain I would guess.

I'm not sure if that will work properly?!? I was looking into a few reported episodes and there were translations in different languages, but with different titles. Meaning: should we invest time in fixing the current mess just to let Travis merge them properly? It's a bit of wasted energy, no?

Just a quick note, from what I see on the first episode, the JP episode title currently say: episode X "episode title", which is wrong, if the title is 第1話　「ジェットコースター殺人事件」 it should actually only be the title between the bracket thingy. So the first episode title is ジェットコースター殺人事件

for my case i'm going to take wiki data for my website and block the tmdb auto update for this series, it's the most simple way, i have doing that already for naruto shippuuden and that work perfect.

I'm using the official website for the listing, and every few episode I copy paste the episode title and ctrl + f it at syoboi to see if there haven't been things going on such as like with Pokemon [mod thread].

For every anime I've researched, syoboi has been correct, so for all recent anime airing info syoboi has been like a holy bible.

I checked all translations for the first 43 episodes. I added all EN ones, and corrected the few that had actual data for episodes (mostly formatting the multipart episodes to the way we prefer with (1) and (2).) There's only few languages with data: French, German, Spanish, and Korean. Chinese (CN) amd Italian have title-only data. I haven't copied the data from other episodes to the respective languages though... So those other languages are only filled up to episode 28.
