There was a documentary back in 2011 called The World's Worst Place to Be Gay set in Uganda. It was about how news/people of Uganda actively encouraged the hunting and murdering of gays in Uganda. And by encouraged, I mean people actually do go and find and kill them. At least in 2011. I doubt its changed that much. Im not saying the film was completely comprehensive look at Uganda's stance at homosexuality and that its not possible things have changed since then...but I don't think the comparison of anti-gay sentiments in the US with people cheering on and participating in the murders of gays in Uganda is fair at all.
I think if you got the right group of Americans (Westboro Baptist) and told them they wouldn't be jailed for killing gays, they would be all on board.
It's just that places like Uganda and the Middle East get a bad rap and rightly so, but it's only because there are no laws for protection. So, as a Ugandan, you will say what everyone expects you to say about gays. If you come out and say, live and let live, they will look at you funny and wonder about your sexuality.

The producers should consider changing the rules, because otherwise, they might as well have had their teammate with them doing the challenge.

I think the way it was intended WAS for them to work with another team, that's kind of the theme of the season is that they are leaning into the other shows, Survivor, and Big Brother from which some of the contestants were taken from. Theyre trying to entertain a level of social gameplay into this season's race.

I agree. I dunno, I feel like people arent really struggling this season in the challenges. And it makes the show kinda less exciting. I want to see people actually be challenged, and their relationships put under pressure. Frankly, I want to see more stress, more high intensity moments. I want to feel nervous and impressed as I'm watching these people take on the race.

I mean it would have been nicer if they did it Big Brother/Survivor style, where the votes are only revealed once all the votes had been decided. That way the votes would actually have reflected the social relationships between the players rather than just your luck of the draw.

Culture precedes politics. If the Westboro Babtist church went and killed gays since there was no law against it, there would be huge movements culturally to affect changes in law in America. That's because the culture (values that people hold) in America is in support of gays.
The reason why its okay to kill gays in Uganda isnt primarily because of there being no laws against it- its because the rest of Uganda is pretty much okay with it- that's their culture, their beliefs. I dont believe theres a huge movement/support there to get that changed (I may be wrong).
What I'm saying is, laws reflect culture. Usually anyway. The reason why its a crime to kill gays in America, is because our culture/values people hold are different to that of Uganda. The way you end up with a nation that is okay with killing gays is having a country of people akin to Westboro Babtist church members. In America, most of the country is filled with people who at the very least believe it is wrong to kill gays, and only a small minority that would be okay with it- which is why killing gays in USA is a crime and is punished (and people dont generally do it).

Okay, the tasks were so-so. The struggle wasn't real though. It was just a few grunts and there you have it.
TASKS:
1) It’s a Detour where they must choose between “High” where they will hoist a plastic cow up a tower in less than 40 seconds, or “Dry” where they will ride to a farm that dates back to 1432 and pole vault across a ditch, the Dutch way, pick up two kinds of cheese and a dozen eggs. The trick is how do they get back across the ditch with the cheese and eggs.
I thought this was okay.
2) Navigate through a maze of waterways. Teams must find and pick up two marked boats to create a boat train, then steer it to find the Pit Stop on Bovenwijde Lake.
I thought this was okay as well.
3) No other task.
