Why would MGM want Ricky on the payroll. They already had Ricardo Montalban and Fernando Lamas and those two could speak English better, could act and were younger and more fit than Ricky was. Also, it does't' make sense how during the episode where Lucy is dancing with the dummy, Ricky tells MGM that he is going deep-sea fishing and not doing what they want him to do. MGM should have told him to hit the road, since he did not do as they told him and do the benefit. He was only in Hollywood a few weeks and telling the studio what he will or will not do.
