Maxey is sent to jail for refusing to produce privileged documents in court. One of his cellmates is a former client seeking revenge from the lawyer who lost his case - Maxey!! He puts Maxey on trial in front of a mock jury composed of the cellmates.

In the second-season opener, Wilma thinks she'll have to reveal her unattached status at a grand family bash in honor of her grandmother's birthday, but Maxey steps in and pretends to be her fiance, a prominent plastic surgeon. Meanwhile, Darice still can't shake off ardent suitor Zack, who's been hired to paint the office.

Maxey finds out that Greg is dating the wife of a convict and pays dearly for meddling. Greg understandably doesn't want his brother involved in his romantic life and refuses to divulge any information about her, which sends Maxey straight to a private detective. When the detective finds that Greg's girlfriend is the wife of a convict, Maxey confronts Greg with the news, who, in turn, gets furious with his brother for interfering. When the newly released convict comes looking for Greg, Maxey, feeling bad about what he's done, lets the convict think he's Greg and takes the bruising intended for his brother.
