Shouichi, fighting for himself, transforms into Agito Burning form and defeats the mantis Unknown and the El of Water. The El of Water, in a last ditch effort, retreats into the OverLord's body and vows vengeance against Agito. Shouichi regains his self-esteem and rejoins the Misugi household.

Ryo Ashihara witnesses someone being attacked by an Unknown and goes to save her, he encounters a strange man in black named Kaoru Kino.

Kaoru Kino hunts down and brutally injures Ryo Ashihara, claiming that the world only needs one Agito. As Koji Majima and Ryo flee Kino turns back into a human from Another Agito and is seen by both Makoto Hikawa and Toru Hojo. While Makoto is truly thankful that Agito is a "pure" person, Toru believes that he can once and for all capture Agito when he transforms back into a human.
