Rayquaza guides Liko and the others to a mountain towering high into the heavens. They begin asking around for information on Rakua in Kumuri Town, a town located at the foot of the mountain, when they meet a young boy named Yuha who insists they need to get out of the town immediately. As the group soon learns, local legend has it that disaster will strike when the Black Rayquaza appears.

With the Rakulium crystal before them, Liko and the others square off against Gibeon! Liko, Roy, Dot and now also Amethio engage in a fierce seesaw battle against the mighty Zygarde, who is so overwhelmingly powerful it's difficult to even get near it! As the four fight on, they gradually start finding opportunities to close in on Zygarde, but...

Thanks to Pagogo and the Six Heroes, the Rakulium finally gets successfully purified. However, after a brief moment where everyone believes things are at long last over, Spinel suddenly announces he's going to "take control of" Rakua! He then somehow manages to make the Six Heroes go berserk... Liko and the others attempt to escape as Rakua falls to the rampaging Six Heroes. What lies in wait at the end of the adventure to Rakua?!

When Liko and the others learn that more and more Pokémon in a forest are getting sick, they begin to investigate whether or not this is because the Pokémon are affected by Rakulium. In the process, they run into Molly, who's treating poisoned wild Pokémon! Molly is currently working at a Pokémon Center... but the happy reunion gets interrupted by cries from scared Pokémon coming from the depths of the forest....! As they continue further in, they find a berserk Ruffresia scattering poison in all directions...?!

Liko and the others go to Karna's factory in the Galar region to meet with Orio, but when they ask her to build them an airship, she refuses, telling them to ask someone else. Liko and the others find themselves at their wits' end... but then Cap suddenly senses something and runs towards the forest. And believe it or not, there they find... the Brave Asagi, which they had been told had been dismantled!!

Liko, Roy, Dot and Uruto end up battling the Explorers at Karna's factory, where they have quite a difficult time against the Paldea Kentauros that have been strengthened by Strong Spheres. They observe the Kentauros' behavior and try to find a hint towards how to overcome them, however...?! And what does Orio feel when she sees Liko and the others' refusal to give up?

Liko and the others go to Orange Academy to meet with Omodaka and Principal Clavel in order to tell them the truth about the Strong Spheres. They also go to talk with Zinnia to find out what the actual connection between Rakulium and Pokémon is. Roy then meets Nemo again, and the two have their first battle in quite a while. It's time for a fierce fight between two Fighting types to begin: Lucario VS Parmot!
