Tess accepts Stevie's explanations at first (something about witnessing a rodeo accident up north), but gets suspicious again when Stevie is caught packing her bags. Still refusing to reveal the truth, she offers her resignation and Tess accepts with more than a little relief.
As Stevie loads up her car, Jodi, Meg and Tess discover little Charlotte has been bitten by a redback spider. Fearing for Charlotte's life, Tess accepts a ride from Stevie to the hospital, but it turns out to be far from a straightforward trip.
With the private investigator in hot pursuit, things get worse when Charlotte has a heat-induced fit. It looks like they are not going to make it to the hospital in time so Stevie steals a plane to speed the trip up.

Meg heeft moeite met haar werk. Ze wil een nieuw verhaal schrijven maar heeft te weinig inspiratie. Samen met Terry wil ze hun oude droom weer oppakken om samen een huis te bouwen, maar Terry merkt al snel dat Meg dit eigenlijk helemaal niet wil. Ze gaan op zoek naar iets waar ze samen voor kunnen gaan. Meg vindt hierbij een doos met kaarten van Terry. Hij had ze bewaard omdat ze hem aan zijn reizende vader doen denken en hij zou altijd nog wel in zijn vaders voetsporen willen treden. Meg en Terry besluiten dat dit is wat ze nodig hebben en dat ze samen op reis gaan.

De meiden van Drovers Run zijn geschokt wanneer Regan opeens voor hun deur staat met de vraag of ze Tess kan spreken. Wanneer deze er achterkomt dat Tess nu in Argentinië woont is het haar beurt om geschokt te zijn. Jodi probeert er achter te komen wat er met haar aan de hand is, maar Regan verdwijnt weer net zo snel als ze gekomen is. Jodi komt haar echter weer tegen en overtuigt haar dat ze de nacht op Drovers door mag brengen. Regan verteld dat ze betrokken is geraakt bij een mijnongeluk waarbij twee mannen zijn omgekomen. Jodi vraagt haar, met toestemming van Kate en Stevie, nog een tijdje op Drovers te blijven.
Wanneer Charlotte op bezoek komt is het duidelijk dat Fiona en Alex het over één ding eens zijn; ze willen kinderen en wel zo snel mogelijk. Maar Fiona’s dromen vallen in duigen wanneer ze, na een ongeluk, in het ziekenhuis te horen krijgt dat ze geen kinderen kan krijgen. Bang dat Alex hierdoor niet meer met haar wil trouwen, besluit ze deze informatie voor hem verborgen te houden.
Stevie dwingt Jodi haar verantwoordelijkheden onder ogen te zien.

Wanneer hij zich voorbereidt op de begrafenis van zijn vader, vindt Alex het moeilijk zijn toespraak te schrijven. Wat kan hij zeggen over een man die hij maar zelden aardig vond?
