This must be fairly common with shows when they want to get rid of the kids but not sure how to do it, so they simply write them out of the show with no explanation. Recently they have done the same on the sitcom 'Mom.' Christy's two kids have all but vanished with no word as to what happened to them. Like Buzz and Sonya, their photos that were in the opening credits have disappeared too.
