Discuss Sherlock

So Janine and him used each other to get to magnussison?

I get his side of it but I didn't really understand what was going on when he was lying in the hospital bed and they were talking. I don't know what her reasoning was to use Sherlock.

From what I remember it was just Sherlock manipulating Janine, but she, finding out about his betrayal and fake engagement, proceeded to confront him in anger.

I remember him calling her a journalistic whore or something like that with newspapers sprawled around him. How would she found out about that?

Finding out about what?

If you mean that he betrayed her, she found out when she was knocked out and evidently told by her boss, Magnussen, the blackmailer.

Oh ok, I get it now. She was knocked out so she knew.

Well I get that part at least. Still confused on what she used him for exactly.

Here's a short summary of what went on between Sherlock and Janine.

Lady Elizabeth Smallwood is blackmailed by Magnussen with stolen letters. She hires Sherlock to retrieve them. He then proceeds with the following plan. He courts Magnussen's personal assistant Janine and they start seeing each other regularly. After a while she is smitten with him and Sherlock enacts the last phase of his plan. He goes to Magnussen's office and convinces Janine to let him in by pretending he wanted to propose to her. When he is inside he finds her lying on the floor. She had been knocked unconscious by an intruder who shoots Sherlock.

Next he awakens in the hospital. Janine is there showing him newspaper headlines. After she realized that he never loved her and only used her to bypass security to get into the office, she felt hurt and rejected. She trusted, believed in him. Her love was real, while he was just playing with her feelings. How could such a great wonderful man do this to her? Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned, and she seeks revenge. She goes to the tabloids and tells them all the intimate details of their relationship. The papers pay her handsomely for these stories and she is going to buy a cottage with the money. This gives her some consolation. He had used her and she got her revenge by using their fake relationship to earn some money from the tabloids.

Thank you very much wonder2wonder! Now I understand lol

I sincerely apologize for not being able to give an answer. The details I remember of that episode are sketchy and I was confused by your question.

No problem. I have a hard time conveying my thoughts and questions on the internet. Thank you for your answers.
