Discuss Battlestar Galactica

Speaking only of human-like models which do resurrect, not the living parts of cylon raiders. Are they made of material which putrefies like animal flesh, or do they instantly disappear, or do they decompose more gracefully?

Hello Simon.

Nice to meet you!!!

There's one scene where the HUMAN DOCTOR speaks with a HUMAN CYLON (the one who use to be XENA the WARRIOR PRINCESS) and explains to her how to him there's NO DIFFERENCE between a CYLON and a HUMAN due to the way BOTH of them BLEED the same kind of BLOOD.

So one would also assume that means the bodies of the HUMAN LOOKING CYLONS would also ROT the same way as a HUMAN body does?

Because there's also the other ISSUE of how they can't even tell the difference between who's HUMAN and a CYLON.

But then we also see SHARON or ATHENA ??? place the LIVE WIRE into her ARM which then controls the other CYLON SHIPS that were attacking them.

So one is also left to wonder how it's possible for that to happen, yet still claim the CYLON body is so IDENTICAL to the HUMAN BODY that one CANNOT tell them apart???

thinking

Thanks. I suppose that the doctor might be trying to mislead Zena.

The DOC seemed to be SINCERE about what he said to her, the problem seems to be the WRITERS either weren't aware or had forgotten about what we the viewer had seen happening in earlier episodes of previous seasons that had happened prior to the time when we meet D'Anna (which is also the name of the HUMAN CYLON character that Xena played in BSG).

What is the name of that episode?

HERE'S a LINK where ALL of the EPISODES are listed:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battlestar_Galactica_(2004_TV_series)#Series_overview

And when you CLICK onto S1 you'll also see this:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Battlestar_Galactica_(2004_TV_series)_episodes#Season_1_(2004%E2%80%9305)

And if you click onto 33 (the TITLE of Ep1 of S1) you'll also see a SUMMARY of that eppy when you're taken to still another link.

So in order to find out the name of the EPPY one would also need to CLICK onto LOTS of LINKS and read LOTS of summaries. And even then one can't be sure anyone thought that scene was interesting enough to bother mentioning in the summary of it.

So the ANSWER to your question is at this point I'M NOT SURE what the name of it is and don't remember.

But if at some point one finds the answer, then one will also let you know what the name of it is.

Here's still another link for you that's even easier to use:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Battlestar_Galactica_(2004_TV_series)_episodes#Season_3_(2006%E2%80%9307)

And maybe you can also find what it is that you're looking for by reading the summaries yourself.

slight_smile

D'Anna appears in 17 episodes. I don't think the summaries will reveal which one .

They might. And maybe it also helps to know that this happens during some kind of a BATTLE between the HUMANS and the CYLONS??? Because one vaguely also recalls the DOC and D'Anna standing outside some kind of a TENT as if it were a temporary medical hospital??? Plus knowing that TENT is there also helps to ELIMINATE the other episodes where they'd be located on the SHIP(s), which should also help to narrow down which episodes she's in that are located on some kind of TERRA FIRMA instead of being in SPACE.

PLUS there's the other option of searching for how many eppy's the DOC was in which may also help to find the one you're looking for???

During the Cylon occupation of the planet, Cottle continues his work as a doctor and surgeon. He works as a neutral party in the Cylon-run state in New Caprica City, treating human and Cylon alike. When a copy of Number Three (likely D'Anna Biers) questions why he does this he tells her he would do the same for anyone who came to him (TRS: "Exodus, Part I").

Season 2 episode 13 (Epiphanies) Baltar to Adama: "It [Cylon blood] has to be slightly different because the Cylon is not human. If our blood looks like this , for example (draws hexagon), and the Cylon's blood looks like this (draws octagon). then it's fair to assume that the Cylon-humsn is carrying an amalgam.... Now, knowing as we do that the Cylons are built slightly better to endure than their human counterparts, I wondered, could the Cylon blood also be blessed, with a heightened resistance to disease?" --- This dialog happens after Baltar has talked to a Number Six that he helped to free from the Pegasus, and she is organizing a campaign of sabotage against the human military, so who knows.

Yes, and then BALTAR also gets ADAMA to give him the NUKE telling Adama that he needs it to create the kind of CYLON DETECTOR that he claims to be creating. And then he gives it to the other 6 MODEL who had been RAPED and TORTURED by the CAPTAIN and the CREW of the PEGASAS.

And then she also used that NUKE to BLOW UP CLOUD 9, the ship where they'd go for recreation.

Plus when the show began we also see the OTHER 6 MODEL hugging BALTAR as the other NUKES destroyed his house by the lake.

So how the hell is it one can't tell the difference between her and BALTAR when she's also so strong that she saves his life by protecting him from the BLAST of the BOMB and from the HUGE PICTURE WINDOW that shatters to bits in that scene.

Yet BALTAR also shows up to be RESCUED looking pretty much UNTOUCHED by the BLAST???

I watched season 2 ep. 18. There was so much that happened there on this subject, I\m going to have to watch it again.

Is this the eppy to which you are referring:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Downlohttps://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=1&v=pLhWqmbcphk%20Star%20Trek%20Discovery%20PART%203aded_(Battlestar_Galactica)

At wikipedia they call it S 2.5 instead of S2.

What's interesting is how BALTAR sees the GHOST APPARITION of CAP 6 and CAP 6 sees the GHOSTLY APPARITION of BALTAR as if maybe that EXPLOSION at his LAKE HOUSE had somehow combined the minds of both of them similar to the way the MINDS of CAP 6 and BOOMER were also changed by simply having interactions with BALTAR and the CHIEF???

I don't think that link works. This is the imdb link: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0519766/?ref_=tt_ep_nx

I think found the episode. S3 ep 3 "Exodus: Part 1 "

What the cylon (#3) , not the doc, actually said was (pointing to some blood on the doc's smock) This stuff all looks the same

As you can see, PART ONE of EXODUS was previously mentioned before in this other messages after one finally found where the SCENE was located.

And it also explains how DR. COTTLE tells NUMBER 3 (D'Anna) that:

HE WOULD DO THE SAME FOR ANYONE who came to him.

True. My original question was, what happens to the old cylon body after the current incarnation of an " individual " resurrectable cylon dies? For example, on New Caprica, Starbuck kills a Leoben several times. The body lies there for a while, but I still have not seen whether that body will decompose or they eventually send a cleanup crew.
