When plums are found in an armored car that was wrecked, Mike and Bob look for their robbery suspect - an Indian who operates a roadside fruit stand.

Mike and Bob go to a roadside diner in search of samples of dope that's been used on racehorses. An escaped killer appears on the scene. Trapped with the escaped killer, the Brannagan brothers pin their escape on a bowl of stew.

Then by a neat trick Diane locks Mike in a room. She gets to a telephone and informs her fiance where Kate and Mike are keeping her and that Mike is unarmed. She tells Mike that when her fiance arrives, he will kill Mike and their story will be that Mike was attacking her.

A jewel thief is murdered by two fellow thieves who make off with the loot. The Brannagan brothers get set to outrace two crooks to some stolen diamonds, but neither pair know where the gems are hidden.
