When Courtney and Miranda get in a fight over which of their volleyball teams Ginger will play for, Miranda decides to replace Courtney with Ginger as her best friend. Ginger wins the student council election on the premise of having "big brothers" and "big sisters" to guide the younger elementary school trouble makers. When Dodie's Nana dies, Ginger and Macie help her out, but Ginger realizes that she never knew her own grandma. Will her dad give her any insights into what she was like? Meanwhile, Hoodsey comes to terms with his own grief at Nana's funeral, but how will his family react when they find out that he has locked an iron mask around his head?

Friday the 13th, Carl's favorite holiday, begins with the Foutley car breaking down, Ginger's sweater getting ripped, and her school paper being blown away. Then a rare house-eating mold is discovered in Ginger's house that causes it to be condemned. Will the streak of bad luck continue, and could it get any worse? Maybe if Ginger gets completely fed up with her family...

Ginger, Carl and Macie go on vacation to Loon Lake with Dodie and her family, where an escaped "lunatic" from the insane asylum has been reported to be hiding. Will Carl and Hoodsey get to scare Blake, who is camping in the woods there as well, or will they be in for a scare themselves? Meanwhile, Ginger and Macie deal with Dodie's mom Joann, who is a bit "high strung".

Ginger decides to play an April Fools joke on Dodie by forging a love letter to her from Dustin, (a weirdo in her class that eats his sandwiches with chopsticks). Things get messy when Dodie admits to having a secret crush on Dustin, while Dustin reveals he really HAS sent a love letter, but to Macie! Will Ginger find a way to work it out?

Meanwhile, Carl and Hoodsey tell Blake they sold his tonsils to a witch doctor, causing him to become sick.

Meanwhile, Carl and Hoodsey try to make aphrodisiacs.

Macie thinks her parents are planning a birthday party for her because they are acting elusive, but they actually forget the date. Meanwhile, Carl causes his teacher Mrs. Gordon to retire and get replaced by music teacher Hepcat Hepper. Will he convince her to come back?

Ginger's new substitute teacher is an elderly lady named Ms. Grimley who rules her class with an iron fist. When she assigns Ginger, Courtney and Miranda an 17,000 word essay on the cotton gin, the students decide to get even. But will their plans for revenge end up back-firing?

Meanwhile, Carl and Hoodsey try to teach Mr. Licorice an act for the upcoming pet show... by showing him how to ride a motorcycle.

When Ginger returns from Avalanche Art Academy and ignores everyone around her but Darren, will Macie and Dodie join forces with Mipsy and Miranda to get them to break up?

Meanwhile, Noelle loses Carl in a card game to Polly Schuster, a younger kid who is obsessed with birds.

Ginger is throwing a party for Darren that every kid in the school wants to attend. But when Lois and Joann Bishop get into a fight at the grocery store over the last Easter ham on the shelf, Joann bans Hoodsey and Dodie from seeing Carl and Ginger.

Joann Bishop gets a job teaching home economics at the middle school that leaves Dodie mortified when Joann starts hanging with the "cool girls" at school.

Ginger invites Darren to the BFF yearly tradition of going to the county fair, much to the dismay of Dodie, who in turn invites Courtney to annoy Ginger. Carl and Hoodsey tag along and end up freeing a "two headed" pony from the Nature's Oddities Tent.

When emotions stir in Ginger upon seeing Sasha again when she goes back to Camp Caprice, doubt creeps into Ginger's feelings on her relationship with Darren.

Unbeknownst to Lois, Ginger invites Jonas to Thanksgiving dinner. Tensions mount when Carl seems to favor Dr. Dave over his natural father, and the assembled guests, including Mrs. Dave and the Bishop family are somewhat less than amicable.

Ginger, worried about her new course load in high school, ends up getting addicted to the "Mocha Locha Frothinator." Carl tries to walk the straight and narrow path, and is tricked into thinking he has an incurable disease.
