Discuss Saturday Night Live

I was disappointed with last nights episode of SNL. I normally don't watch this show because it hasn't been good in years, but last night I couldn't sleep and I wanted to see Woody Harrelson so I tuned in.

Right away they started with the latest debunked talking points about Trump. I'm not going to get into the talking points themselves. The point is that this went on for about the first 45 minutes of the broadcast in a way that wasn't the slightest bit funny. Or at least I didn't think so. Is this really what people find funny now?

Eventually there was a funny sketch with Kennan Thompson followed by a not funny locker room sketch with Woody Harrelson, but at least it wasn't about Trump. That only lasted a few minutes though and then they were back to Trump and the same debunked talking points. I don't care for this president, but this is a load of bs and shouldn't be on the air. Even if it were true, why does SNL have to get political? Can't it just stick to comedy?

And the musical guest really sucked too. I had never heard of this 17 year old before and wish that I could have kept it that way. I enjoy young female musicians usually. But this girl is terrible and her voice makes my brain hurt. What is she doing on SNL? Couldn't they find someone with talent? Then again I can't stand a lot of people that are considered popular so I guess that isn't so surprising.

I saw it, too, but unlike you, I found the show funny throughout. I've always liked Woody. Whereas Maya Rudolph came off creepy trying to convey Sen. Kamala Harris as a weirdo, his Biden imitation was pretty funny. Who knows why so many black people love Biden so much? Stuck in the past I guess. As for Billie Eilish, I found her interesting with her quite soothing voice. She's alternative and edgy, so they used her.

I'm not sure how old you are or how long you have watched SNL, but it has always been political.

The way I see it... is SNL tries to keep up with current events... and what's more current than Trump?... Trump is always in the news. If you watch be prepared to once in a while find something funny. Woody Harrelson look good as Biden, he should try to maintain that look.
