Happy Mother’s Day.
Here are some quotes, (or exerts from quotes) people…from all over…have written regarding good advice they’ve gotten from their mother.
- "Never chase a boy or a bus. There will always be another.”
- "Never wear neon."
- "If they don't look at you in the eye when you speak to them, don't marry them."
- "Never expect someone to take care of you. You have to take care of you.
- "If you try your best, then that's all that matters."
- "Never write anything down that you don't want your grandmother to see."
- "Your self-esteem should never be contingent on anyone else's approval."
- "Children need the most love when they are most unlovable."
- "Live your truth, and take the trash out before you go out of town."
- "Education is an ornament in prosperity and a refuge in adversity!"
- "Don't eat laying down."
- “Listen to the person’s advice who has nothing to lose or gain from your decision.”
- “Never look back because life only moves forward.”
- There is no reason to be jealous of anyone. You have two hands and a brain. If you want something someone else has, go out and get it on your own.”
- “You can do this because you have to.”
- “Our actions leave an impact, and we can all make a difference in this life if we just choose to look for the opportunity to help.”
- “Always do what makes you truly happy, even if it goes against what others try to tell you is best for you, because only you know.”
- “Pain + reflection = growth.
- “From the time I was a little girl, my mom told me the story of the bumblebee.”
-
“There will always be something.” (My personal favorite.)

"According to aerodynamic laws, the bumblebee cannot fly. Its body weight is not the right proportion to its wingspan. Ignoring these laws, the bee flies anyway." - Andre Sainte-Lague

What if your mom was Yoda?
"There is no Try. There is only Do."

Probably should save this one for a "Best Advice My Father Ever Gave Me" thread, because when it comes to that line we are talking Yoda—he ...not Yoda—she.

It's hard to put into words but 15 is (to me) a negative way of looking at something. 18 is like the saying 'everything happens for a reason'! I hate that saying! Sorry, I can't be clearer.

That's clear enough.
As for "everything happens for a reason"—not a fan of that saying either—get annoyed with people carrying on as if something otherworldly has taken place.

I haven't seen the movies for quite a while, but I'm unaware of any definitive evidence that Yoda was male, even assuming that species has genders at all.

From now on questions about Yoda should be answered in backwards Yoda talk.
