Discuss The Big Bang Theory

Someone on here mentioned that they’d hate to see a “clip” show for the finale. Well, the writers have gone one better. Instead of taking us down memory lane by showing clips from past show, they are letting us take ourselves down memory lane via our own personal “memory clips”. That is, within storylines/dialogues they have woven some plum moments/incidents that reminds of favorites from past shows.

This was just a vague thought when I saw the episode with Tyson and Nye. Then it became an “buzz” when Professor Proton appeared. But, it finally crystallized with Raj’s mutism in the last episode.

1) Tyson/Nye/Proton—Fan (science) favorites.

2) The episode with Raj and Howard at the Planetarium reminded us of all the back-in-the day, pre-Bernie/Halley/Neil bromance times of Raj and Howard when they were just two fancy-free (and inept) dudes on the prowl.

3) The gang discussing Raj and Anu first “sex date” gave Howard a chance to mention his mom and us a chance to remember and reminisce about all the good times and lines associated with Deb-Deb—and remember Carol Ann Susi in the process.

4) Leonard and Penny’s he-said-she-said POV on their first sex-date gave us the chance to remember the early days when Leonard was in hot and hopeless (or so we thought) pursuit of his ideal. (As for their first sex-date, Penny’s memory is a lot better than Leonard. At the time there was quite the discussion among the gang about how unspectacular it had been.)

5) Who could help but associate Howard “stealing” Sheldon’s father-in-law with Sheldon doing the same to Howard at Thanksgiving Dinner.

6) A couple of posters mentioned how the Halloween costume head-to-head between the Fowler-Coopers and the Wolowitzes was reminiscent of the parking-space-war between them.

7) Sheldon’s knocking at Mr. Fowler’s door in the last episode—(no explanation required).

8) A non-music-loving Anu couldn’t help but, make you remember "Footprint On The Moon" and all the wonderful tunes associated with the group.

These are just the ones I’ve picked up so far—probably a lot more. Now, that I'm eyes for these plums, viewing repeats of this season will, no doubt, be more of a blast.

My point being-- I think all these “gems” are just the writers’ way of saying pray_tone1 to the fans.

Just wonder how--how soon they’ll work “Bazinga” into the mix.

NOTE: These are in no particular order—just how they came to me.

ON ANOTHER NOTE:

I hate long posts—don’t write them—don’t read them—forgive me this one--sunglasses

You forgot already? They had "Bazinga" in the episode about Sheldon's best friend from Texas, when Sheldon had his flashback to how life would have been with Tam instead of Leonard.
