Discuss The Walking Dead

By odd I mean they have been living in Virginia for some time now and have experienced at least one winter, so they should know what to expect, it seems like they were caught off guard about the weather, which seems odd. If they have been living there for awhile, they should anticipate when winter is coming and prep accordingly and it should be a common task given that it happens every year. In addition, what happened to their horses? They had horses when they left the Kingdom, once they got to Hilltop, they disappeared.

Agree, this show does its fair share of stretching its demand on our suspension of belief.

It's curious, to me, that they've got all these fine, clean winter clothes (evidently they've found or made plenty of laundry detergent) but guns and bullets have run out and there's no more to be found. In America.

I got the feeling that the snow in this episode was more severe than usual for them. They were caught unprepared by its harshness.

Maybe they had to eat the horses.

They had to abandon the horses and wagons when they crossed the frozen river, fearing the weight would be too much.

I think this winter storm was intended to be far more severe and brutal, plus without Henry they couldn't keep the pipes in working order and they would freeze up. I also got the impression that everyone (especially the King and Queen) were downright depressed after the 10 murders and weren't at the top of their game.

But I do agree it was an odd episode; it was kind of dull and silly at points. Why were some of the zombies frozen and others not? Hardly felt like a season cliffhanger.
