"Violet is a 13-year-old Mexican-American girl, living with her parents Juan Carlos and Nina Rodriguez. She also has an older brother, Santiago, who is an overachiever and her parents' favourite child."

"One night she has a weird dream about a purple luchador mask. Later she sees it hanging with other wrestling masks on the wall of a market stall and when she touches it, all the masks disappear and turn into purses. Back home, the mask has reappeared on her bed and she puts it on, transforming into a superhero speedster, who can move at superhuman speed . She decides to call herself 'Ultra Violet'."

"She thinks it is cool and tells her best friend Maya, who puts on the mask too, but nothing happens."

Maya: "What's going on? Am I purple? Is my hair purple?"

Violet: "No. You're not purple at all."

Maya: "Oh. Uh."

"The label on the inside of the luchador mask says 'Hecho en México'."

Violet: "Made in Mexico."

"Using her smartphone Violet records her actions and livestreams it on her channel. Then seeing it getting some attention at her school, she really wants to make it trend and comes up with an awesome plan."

Violet: "I really want to blow this up. I got it. What I need is a collab and I know just the guy."

"Violet asks Black Scorpion if she can do a collab with him, but he rejects that idea, because he wants to stay in the shadows."

"Disappointed, but still wanting to team up with Black Scorpion, she follows him the next time she sees him. When he removes his mask, she is shocked to discover that he is her uncle Cruz De la Vega - the famous Mexican wrestler Blue Demon Jr.. She reveals her identity to him and he is surprised that the mask has chosen her. He cautions her that it is important to keep their identity secret from everyone else to protect their family and friends. Violet is too excited about her superhero life to pay much attention to what he is saying."

Violet: "You are Black Scorpion."

Cruz: "You have a mask!?"

"Cruz takes her along on his next crime-fighting adventure, but unbeknown to him, she records everything for her channel, and the views and likes start to increase. Violet thinks that if she removes her mask, the channel will get even more views and likes, and when at school they know that she is Ultra Violet, she will be as cool as her brother."

Violet: "What's up Ultra Nation. It's a girl Ultra Violet and I got some sick news. Tonight I'm going to be fighting crime with none other than the city's best vigilante superhero Black Scorpion."

"Just as Violet is about to take off her mask, her uncle appears and he convinces her not to reveal her secret identity to the whole world."

"He agrees to be her mentor and train her, teaching her 'lucha libe' at his gym. Together they will fight crime as 'Ultra Violet and Black Scorpion'."
