I understand this is previously reported content.
However when software like Infuse pulls in the TMDB metadata for Dragon ball and several other anime's, season 1 is all 153 episodes, which is a pain to sort through every time you want to watch something. Since Infuse doesn't support Episode grouping, there's no recourse for sorting through the episodes.
While I understand that "Story arcs are not seasons" by definition, they pretty much are by nature. Having this split into either seasons by story arcs, or just story arcs would create a much better experience for users. Is there anything that we can do to update this?

That's an Infuse problem. We won't change data on TMDB because of third-party app (who has access to alternative orders but allegedly chooses not to use them).

Thank you for the reply. I'm newer to the infuse/TMDB/home streaming environment so I have to know, having looked through the support forum this seems to be a common issue the community has, with several pages of people reporting the same issue and wanting the seasons split.
So this strict abiding by the original Japanese broadcast date, is this a technical reason? Like would there be rippling technical consequences for the developers if they allowed this, or is it one persons moral philosophy that since it aired that way, it should be listed here that way? I'm hoping the answer is there would be technical consequences because from a user standpoint it seems like a simple community customization and contribution to adding the content for the seasons.
I'm also asking about this on Infuses support page because if episode grouping were supported by them then this wouldnt be an issue for us infuse users.

This is the basic rule of this site. We list the series as they were originally broadcasted in their origin country.
The best solution for you is the use of a software that support episode groups, for example Kodi.

Thank you for replying, I just want to make sure I understand you correctly. Updating Season 1 into multiple seasons is possible, but this won't be changed because of the moral stance of the people who run this site? If that's the case it is what it is and there's nothing I can do about it. However if there's hoards of users who're asking for something to be changed, and there wouldn't be serious technical consequences to allowing it . . . I'm just not understanding the reasoning.
Like, what are the concerns from the moderation team if they allowed this to happen? I had assumed it was something like, it would damage the way different softwares read or pull the content from this website, but if that's not the case, what's the concern?

If we allow this split, we will provide wrong data to our users as the data will not anymore respect the original broadcast.
The moderation team is here to apply the rules of the site, not to go against them.

Is there any sort of process for petitioning that the rules of the site be updated? If it really is as simple as going in and updating the seasons and adding a big bold astric at the top pointing out "The original Japanese broadcast aired this show as one season, however due to user preference this series has been split into sagas", that both gives the user the correct information about the series, while also providing a more accurate structure of how the show is broken down/letting users view them by arc the way Netflix does instead of one giant collection.

As already answered, there are no possibility to do that. The episode groups are already provided for this function.

Just use thetvdb for things like this instead.
