Extra Details: Would be great if Season 1 could be split into its (six) sagas (Emperor Pilaf Saga, Tournament Saga, Red Ribbon Army Saga, 22nd Tenkaichi Budokai Saga, King Piccolo Saga, Piccolo Jr. Saga), like it's already been done for Dragon Ball Z.

Dragon Ball was originally bradcasted in Japan as one single season. The listing is correct.
If you want another split, you can use an episode group.
Concerning Dragon Ball Z, as already indicated in multiple reports, the different seasons will be merged in a single one to match the original Japanese broadcast.
Sagas aren't seasons.
