Als Samantha en Jay een oud landhuis erven, besluiten ze er een bed-and-breakfast van te maken. Wat ze zich niet beseffen is dat er een bont gezelschap van geesten in het huis woont en dat die hun plan helemaal niet zien zitten.

Sam kan de paranormale huisgenoten zien nadat ze gevallen is, maar ze gelooft er niet in en doet het af als verbeelding. De geesten halen alles uit de kast om haar van hun bestaan te overtuigen.

Wanneer de botten van Thorfinn op het landgoed worden ontdekt, vraagt hij Sam om de traditionele Vikingbegrafenis die hij altijd al heeft gewild. Sam en Jay zijn in tweestrijd wanneer ze ontdekken dat de botten aan een museum kunnen worden verkocht.

Sam en Jay nodigen Henry en Margaret uit voor een etentje met als doel hen over te halen hun bed-and-breakfast toe te staan. De geesten willen maar wat graag op de gastenlijst staan.

De geesten proberen het huis te beschermen tegen de vandalen die met Halloween langskomen.

Als Sam de opdracht krijgt om een artikel te schrijven over Flower en haar vrienden die tijdens hun communedagen een bank overvielen, smeekt Flower hem om de opdracht niet te accepteren omdat ze zich schaamt voor een deel van het verhaal.

Nadat zijn vrienden Jay uit het 'Dungeons and Dragons' spel hebben geschopt, zet Sam een nieuw spel op voor hem en de geesten. Isaac biedt het hoofd aan zijn gevoelens voor Nigel, een geest voor wie hij een geheim bewaart.

Alberta is opgetogen wanneer een superfan het landhuis bezoekt. En Thor overtuigt Hetty om mee te gaan op een wandeling die hopelijk een bijzondere herinnering bij haar zal losmaken.

Hetty neemt per ongeluk bezit van Jay's lichaam net als hij en Sam op het punt staan Woodstone Mansion te tonen aan een gerenommeerde huwelijksplanner. Het is aan Sam en de geesten om dit op te lossen zodat de belangrijke deal niet door de mand valt.

Sam en Jay reizen naar de plek waar de moeder van Sam stierf om te zien of zij nu een spook is. Sasappis verklapt in de tussentijd een geheim aan zijn medespoken.

Wanneer de zus van Jay op bezoek komt nadat ze door haar vriend is gedumpt, ontdekken ze tot hun schrik dat ze via een datingapp communiceert met iemand die ze kennen.
