Full of plot holes and evil villain cliches that makes you just want to shut the damn thing off before you finish it. Terrible direction with showing the same scene like three times with each time leaking out a bit more info which makes for a monotonous watch. The amount of material is being stretched thin and they have the nerve to chop it up into 4, 25 minute episodes. The entire thing could have been 70 minutes long. I lost count of how many times I went "Huh?" when the character(s) are in an impossible situation and the next scene they are knocking the dust off their jacket (metaphorically, of course) without any explanation on how they escaped that tight spot. It's a goddamn shame because Leon and Claire are by far my favorites RE characters with the RE2 remake being my favorite game in the series. In fact, if there is one good thing I can say about the "movie"(a bit short to call it a movie), is that it made me want to play the game again(downloading it now ) . The end leaves you again with a "Huh?" with Leon making a weird decision that made absolutely no fuckin' sense leaving Claire wondering (and curiously enough, you the audience as well) what exactly is Leon smoking and why isn't he sharing. The animation was excellent and the acting decent but it's just too bad the story and direction was an absolute dumpster fire. SMH, looks like Castlevania will remain the sole series based on a video game that turns out to be decent. Such a shame.
