Disgraced former DS Don Beech returns to London and pulls off a £6·5million robbery. Ex-DI Claire Stanton, now with a security firm, is assigned the task of retrieving documents stolen in the heist.

Beech tells Tommy's daughter Stella that her father was murdered, and promises to find his killer. Meanwhile, Frankie panics about being seen by Stanton.
