The Peres-Arismendi family is in the absolute misery living in what was once the aristocratic house they own. They are constantly "scraping the pot" (the show's title) since they barely have any income to get through the day. This dysfunctional family will invent all kinds of crazy businesses to become true emerging Chileans.

La familia Peres Arismendi está en la más absoluta miseria viviendo en la que alguna vez fue su casa aristocrática. Ellos siempre están “raspando la olla”, ya que no tienen ni un peso para pasar el día a día. Es así como en esta disfuncional familia, se lo pasan inventando negocios descabellados para convertirse en unos verdaderos chilenos emergentes.
