Yes, it did. And as of this writing, Betty Lynn (Thelma Lou) is still alive (just turned 93). I had a big crush on her, and I wish her the best.
Although actor Andy Griffith never won an Emmy Award on the show, Don Knotts won five of them. Remarkable, and well deserved.

Now I guess Ron Howard is the only living main cast member?

Although he's technically not a main cast member based on screen time, Ron's younger brother Clint is still alive. He appeared in five episodes (1962-64) beginning at age two.
