Discuss Star Wars: The Bad Batch

Strange voice actor was chosen for the Padawan in the first scene. And itโ€™s hard to listen to Omega.

Caleb Dume, the Padawan, was voiced by Freddie Prinze Jr. because he was the same actor who voiced the grown up Caleb (Kanan Jarrus) in Star Wars Rebels. The voice acting for Omega is great, but a little jarring early on in the series since there really hasn't been a Star Wars character with an Australian or New Zealand accent until now. Michelle Ang was chosen because she's good, and they didn't ask her to mask her accent in a tribute to Temuera Morrison, the New Zealand actor that portrayed Jango in Attack of the Clones.
