Documentary not on IMDB

I've never added a show before and this one seems to defy the guidelines here. It's a PBS documentary, but I can't find any authoritative information on it.
ie.. no IMDB#, or release date. Can only find release year.

Hi, akovia.
Although that's a made-for-t.v.-broadcast documentary, it should be added to the TMDb database as a Movie (rather than as a TV) entry as it's a standalone presentation broadcast in one single part.
When you can find only a release year but not the precise month/day date, enter it as having been released on Jan. 1st of the known year. (If someone locates the precise full date later, they can tweak your TMDb entry accordingly.)
Having said that, I found this, that states when the documentary you're interested in was released: on 3 Dec. 2014.
To give you an example, in the TMDb database, of a single-installment stand-alone PBS documentary, here's one that I added the main basics for the other week.
It's entirely fine if IMDb doesn't have a listing for something. In such case simply leave the IMDb # field empty/blank.
