The Movie Database Support

I recently edited the guest from https://www.themoviedb.org/tv/81978/season/4/episode/176?language=en-US It is a talk show, one of the guest is a senior actress. I put many (archive footage) attributes to guest stars because the episode included many of her work scenes because of her seniority. I put it based from Cast Bible for (archive footage) "when a clip from a movie is used in a different movie" from https://www.themoviedb.org/bible/movie/59f3b16d9251414f20000003

I just want to clarify is it right/necessary to put any (archive footage) attribute as long as it is clips from other movie/shows? or there is any other rule about the age of footage?

Hi, I'm not sure what other mods think, but in my opinion you should not add any credits at all for promotional clips shown in a talk show. The guests and actors and/or real persons part of proper segments should be enough. Adding credits for clips would mean hundreds of extra credits for some prolific actors in the database, assuming they make the rounds to a bunch of talk shows to promote their latest works.

Okay thanks for the reply, I understand what do you mean because the reason I asked this is also that I felt it's too much even though a little bit of your reply is miss (promotional clips). It's what TV station did, not the actor/management will. It's common practice in Korea the TV Station itself to put many past movie/series (drama) works scenes to tell the guest history whenever a guest stars invited/attend a show. So your reply is important guide for me to do other shows. Thank you for the reply, I'll delete them from the episode. 😁
