API key not valid for search endpoints

Hey there,

My app is fetching data just fine, but when I try and search, I get a 401 unauthorized and it says that I need a valid API key. Do I need specific permissions for search or something? thank you!

Hi, you shouldn't need special permissions.

Could you please post an example URL for a request you're experiencing problems with? Remember to replace your API key with a placeholder like ###.

The first value after the question mark does not need the & character but all others do.
You used a question mark when you should have used &.

https://api.themoviedb.org/3/search/movie?query=orphan?api_key=THE_KEY&language=en-US  

https://api.themoviedb.org/3/search/movie?query=orphan&api_key=THE_KEY&language=en-US  
or  
https://api.themoviedb.org/3/search/movie?api_key=THE_KEY&language=en-US&query=orphan
