popular movies / popular tv shows - something wrong

I'm starting to analyze the api and I realized that this list doesn't reflect reality. you can see items on the list that have only one vote, or that do not have a poster, or that have just been registered. that doesn't mean popular to me.

Those are not necessarily the attributes we use to calculate popularity. You can read about what we do use, here.

yes I had read it. and it just reinforces my point: several of these rules are broken by the examples I've given.
