I am adding Archer (2009) to my Kodi library. TMDB didn't have the special "Archer reviews every James Bond Film listed". So I added it to the special season list as episode 29. The website now lists it on the episode list but when I try to scan it into Kodi nothing happens. Every other episode updates just fine and no error messages appears.

I made the two API Requests: Season and Episode.
https://api.themoviedb.org/3/tv/10283/season/0?api_key=THE_KEY&language=en-US
https://api.themoviedb.org/3/tv/10283/season/0/episode/29?api_key=THE_KEY&language=en-US
In both, episode 29 is OK.
I saw that you added the episode Today.
So I will put here the standard answer for this type of problem:
All data or images entered here on the TMDb Site are immediately available here on the Site.
Text data (titles, overview, cast etc ...) in less than 1 second.
Images (poster, backdrop etc ...) take approximately 10 to 30 seconds. It depends on the traffic at the moment.
But for a request made using the API, it will only be available within approximately 1 to 8 hours.
Updates to TMDb servers that are responsible for servicing API requests are made periodically. They are not done immediately.
I think this site/APP/service, which you are indicating, uses the TMDb API service.
In addition, in some cases, APPs or Services may also use the Cache feature.
The data may be available through an API request to TMDb's servers,
but are not yet updated on the website or service, such as Letterboxd.
So, only when the website or service you use, update the information will you have the updates.

I waited until the next day and tried again. It scanned into the library without incident.
Thank You for your advice.
